Publications Technology Coordinator Bismarck, ND OBJECTIVE Ensure that the technologies, processes and systems used by the Service Publications Department to communicate with Bobcat dealers and customers are adequate to meet the changing needs of the company. Create and maintain standards, work instructions and manual outlines in order to maintain consistency in the manual creation process. Collaborate with Bobcat dealer and customer web site development teams to represent the interests of the Bobcat Service department.   RESPONSIBILITY Publication Standards Development and Implementation Develop and update publication document standards, work instructions, style guides and outlines to be used in the creation of new manuals. Coordinate with functional Service Publications leads in other geographic regions to ensure that standards meet the global needs of the company. Coordinate implementation of Bobcat Service Publications standards with external publication contractors to ensure that the content they develop meets the company's needs. Administer the Aftermarket Service Standards site and publish new and updated publications standards, work instructions and outlines. Service Publications Production and Distribution Support Support the document distribution and archiving processes for content created or supported by the Bobcat Service department and distributed via the Bobcat Service Library, USB Service Library or other distribution methods. Provide training and technical assistance to personnel in creation of FrameMaker, XML and PDF files as needed. Monitor the manuals and documents provided by outside contractors and provide feedback to those contractors to ensure that they meet the standards specified by Bobcat Company. Work with outside publishing suppliers to ensure that manuals that are printed or provided in electronic format to Bobcat dealers and customers meet Bobcat Company’s requirements. Dealer Portal Web Site Content Management Collaborate with all functional areas in the Service department to ensure that relevant service related content is made available to Bobcat dealers via the Dealer web portal. Collaborate with dealer portal development team as the primary representative from the Service department. Bobcat.com and Customer Focused Service Site Content Management Collaborate with all functional areas in the Service department to ensure that relevant and appropriate service related content is made available to Bobcat Company customers via the Bobcat.com public web site and other customer facing sites such as social media or customer portals. Collaborate with E-marketing web site development teams as the primary representative from the Service department to represent Bobcat Service interests. Bobcat Service Library Technical Support Act as the Administrator for the Bobcat Service Library by collaborating with internal IT resources and outside technology contractors to ensure that the online and USB libraries are maintained and updated to meet changing technological requirements.Create and maintain user instructions and troubleshooting guide for the Bobcat Service Library and monitor the dedicated feedback e-mail and respond to issues related to the Bobcat Service Library. Publications Technology Support Act as a subject matter expert on all technologies and software used to create and distribute content created by the Service Publications team. Examples include: Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft SharePoint, Content Management System(s), pdf document security procedures, Bobcat Service Library (online and USB version).   KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree – Communications or related field. 2 -5 years’ business experience. Specialized training in document creation and publishing software. Adobe FrameMaker experience preferred. Dealer or customer facing website content creation experience preferred. Experience with Bobcat Company publications development technology and other emerging technologies preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.
