Accounting Analyst II (FR/AR) - HDQTracking Code 216665-914Job Description The Accounting Analyst II assumes a leadership role in the implementation, build out, integration, and maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Management System (ETRM/Allegro) with primary focus on the needs of Financial Reporting and Accounts Receivable.   This position has extensive knowledge of contract terms and compliance requirements regulating the calculation and preparation of all Class A and D members’ bills, long-term surplus power contracts, and short-term electric revenue reporting and billing. This position works with other accounting areas and external personnel for the accurate reporting and billing of refined coal projects at Basin's various coal fired generation facilities. Reporting and billings are completed in compliance with detailed, complex contracts that are unique to each facility. The incumbent is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of audited financial statements for Souris Valley Pipeline (SVP). Administers the confirmation process with internal and external auditors. The incumbent is responsible for calculation and preparation of Dakota Coal Company sales invoices for coal and lime. This position assists with examining, classifying, recording, summarizing, and analyzing financial transactions and events. Participate in compiling, interpreting, and communicating Cooperative financial information to the RUS, member systems, project participants, creditors, external auditors, consultants, lessors, regulatory agencies, management and staff, and other reporting entities.Required Skills This position requires continuous sitting and use of keyboard/computer; occasional stooping/bending, climbing stairs, and reaching/lifting up to 25 pounds. Finger dexterity, good vision and hearing, and the ability to perform close work are required. Must be able to analyze data and reports, conduct research, implement recommendation, and present information to others. Requires the ability to develop plans, procedures, and goals, and occasionally work under pressure.Required Experience Required: Four year degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related discipline and four years of accounting, finance, and business related experience. Use of Accounts Receivable, Billing, and General Ledger software. Thorough understanding of transactions and GAAP, RUS accounting or ERP systems; strong analytical and interpersonal skills; good oral and written communication skills; proficiency in personal computer operations as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; minimal travel is required. Experience with reporting software (Access, Excel, Cognos), other information systems (Allegro, Infor, Asset Suite, InforXM), a good working knowledge of relational database concepts, and experience with financial analysis and production accounting is preferred.Job Location BISMARCK, North Dakota, United StatesPosition Type Full-Time/RegularSalary 57,503.00 - 65,079.00 USD
