Petroleum Production/Process Technology Instructor, NECE(GRANT FUNDED) SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position includes responsibilities for curriculum instruction and upgrade of online and/or classroom based courses and instructional materials directly related to production operators in the petroleum industry. Additional responsibilities may include student advising, committee work, marketing programs, working with various industry advisory committees, and other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and/or the Associate Vice President for the NECE. On-site position is preferred; however, telecommuting may be an option.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate associate degree or strong record of active employment in the field with agreement to complete a bachelor's degree within six years (tuition assistance available). Excellent working knowledge of oil and gas production operations, including all production related equipment, well completion, artificial lift and other recovery techniques, surface handling of fluids, measurement, well testing and stimulation, well services and work over operations. Strong knowledge of the petroleum industry, including safety and environmental aspects. Good knowledge of petroleum geology, exploration, reservoirs, leasing, drilling, marketing and transportation. Good computer software skills – Microsoft Office, email and electronic calendar (Outlook). Excellent written communication skills. Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups and to articulate and support the community college philosophy. Will be required to obtain North Dakota State Board for Career and Technical Education certification (six years to obtain and tuition assistance is available).
