Clinician Full time Days with Great Benefits!JOB TITLE:              Clinician - Licensed  II.         DEPARTMENT:      Rice Home Medical  III.        PERSON(S) CURRENTLY OCCUPYING THE POSITION:  IV.      JOB SUMMARY:  The Clinician - Licensed must be knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies provided by Rice Home Medical and uphold its Standards of Excellence.  Responsible for competently and efficiently performing all tasks relative to the order intake process, in a friendly and professional manner.  Responsible for set-up, follow-up and maintenance of equipment and supplies clinical in nature.  Serves as a clinical resource to staff and referrals. V.        JOB RELATIONSHIPS:  REPORTS TO:  Branch Manager (Redwood Falls, Madison, Alexandria)                        B.  SUPERVISES:  N/A C.  INTERRELATIONSHIPS WITH: Rice Home Medical Operations Director, Billing Team, Managers, Customer Service Reps, Delivery Technicians, Sales and Marketing Staff. VI.       HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week; between 8:30 – 5:00 Monday – Friday.  This position requires rotating on-call nights and weekends. VII.      DRESS CODE:  Business Casual or company logo wear, name badge required.  Must be neat and clean in appearance. VIII.     ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF WORK (Minimum qualifications necessary to function at full productivity).  EDUCATION AND TRAINING: RN, RT or LPN certification required Minimum of 2 year College degree required  EXPERIENCE: General computer skills Microsoft Office and data entry experience required. Prior experience in a medical field preferred Experience in providing high quality customer service required.  JOB KNOWLEDGE (Specific): Understanding of durable medical equipment and supply requirements and products available. Knowledge of insurance rules, regulations and payer guidelines. IX.       BUDGET:   N/A X.        CLIENTELE DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY JOB: This position will interact with all areas of the Rice Healthcare Organization, to include but not limited to Managers, Operations Director, Customer Service Representatives, Sales and Marketing Staff.  This position interacts directly with Rice Home Medical patients requiring durable medical equipment, products and services. XI.       PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: In an average 8 hour day the employee lifts/carries up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 85 lbs. maximum.  In an average 8 hour day the employee stands/walks 1-3 hours, and sits 5-7 hours.  These hours include up to 6 hours of keyboarding, data entry and phone work. XII.      PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:  Office and retail show floor setting with standard desk and office space. Answer incoming phone calls, take customer orders and key order into computer as appropriate. Consult with customers and assist them in finding appropriate products. Respond to customer questions and concerns while maintaining customer confidentiality. Assist walk-in customers with retail sales and orders, being knowledgeable of product lines available, pricing and reimbursement. Train, educate and demonstrate equipment provided to customers. Assist in maintaining inventory and presenting a well-organized retail area. Balance till daily and assist with bank deposit preparation as needed. In-home or clinic/hospital set-ups performed as needed. Cleaning, testing and asset maintenance of equipment.     RESPONSIBILITY: Clinical Set-Ups    A           % O 20%≈ap;ap;ap;ap;ap;nsp;                DISCRETION: A                             TASKS: Responsible for answering and fielding calls from referrals and customers that relate to clinical inquiries. Working knowledge of all equipment offered through Rice Home Medical clinical services. Set-up patients on appropriate equipment providing education and demonstration of proper use. Fit patients directly with appropriate mask and headgear for sleep apnea equipment. Accurately process customer orders in alignment with company practice and insurance/reimbursement parameters. Obtain customer insurance information and verify according to company guidelines. Prepare appropriate documentation for billing. Obtain prior authorization when deemed necessary by insurance. Responsible to contact referrals and obtain the necessary documentation.
