This position will focus on hydraulic component and system design. Applicants for this position must have a work history or interest in learning hydraulic component design. Primary responsibilities will include sustaining existing component design as well as developing future hydraulic components for in house production such as control valves, cylinders, and manifolds. Work in a hands-on environment where it's expected you'll be evaluating improvements first hand, not just on the computer screen.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Develop CAD skills2.Develop knowledge of company systems3.Create, modify, analyze and maintain the engineering design of assigned product systems and components.4.Develop application knowledge of new techniques, materials, and procedures beneficial to assigned product changes as directed.5.Make feasibility studies for new products or product changes as directed.6.Work with other departmental functions (service, production, tooling, marketing, dealers, etc.) in completion of assigned projects.7.Write, direct, and analyze results of tests on prototype and production machines.8.Investigate customer complaints, concerns, and requests. FORMAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:Bachelors Degree in Engineering - Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering preferred. Basic job standards include: basic computer skills, ability to follow written instructions. Product design industry experience preferred. Hydraulic systems experience preferred, but willing to train if the applicant has an interest to specialize in this area.
