WebmasterSchedule (may change based on business needs):Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pmPosition Overview:As a Webmaster, your responsibilities will include providing support for select areas of our website and application administration activities for select tools/applications. Tasks will include but are not limited to, troubleshoot website problems, installations and setup of testing tools and supplementary programs, maintenance of web servers and tools/applications, managing infrastructure upgrades and implement new infrastructure as needed. You will be responsible for performing periodic server/application audits, advising the team of issues and resolutions, as well as be a main point of contact for technical issues that require website/application support.Responsibilities:• Maintain performance management software• Perform site monitoring and maintenance of monitoring systems• Deliver Computer Operator web training for off peak hours (knowledge transfer to maintain peak performance 24/7)• Provide administration and maintenance of web caching• Analyze and utilize data from timing and analysis software• Monitor and maintain web servers• Perform SSL certification maintenance• Perform periodic web site audits• Act as main point of technical web contact and communicate/team with internal and external customers that require in-depth web site technical support• Advise web team of performance issues and resolutions• During non-scheduled hours, able to report upon short notice to the Digi-Key facility or be available to perform work telephonically as required in varied unique situations as business needs may require.• Other duties as assigned/requiredRequirements/Skills:• An ideal candidate would have an Associate's of Applied Science degree in Computer Science Networking or a related field• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking• Understanding of HTML, JavaScript and other languages• Dedication to providing outstanding customer service• Self-motivated and self-directed• Good communication skills both written and verbal• Excellent listening skills to gain a full understanding of customer's needs• Good problem solving skills, with attention to detail• Willingness and interest in remaining up to date on the latest hardware and software technologiesExperience Plus:• Knowledge of Akamai software• Knowledge of Gomez software• Knowledge IBM WebShere Application Server• Knowledge Microsoft IIS• Knowledge of Webtrends Analytics• Knowledge of Interwoven CMSAll interested persons should complete an application online at www.digikey.com/careers, or submit a resume to hr@digikey.com.
