Core Purpose
Establish relationships with business users
Understand business systems and their data flows and structures
Work with business users to gather and advise on appropriate reporting solutions
Build the solutions through the appropriate Microsoft BI technology
Assist users in understanding the outputs of the reporting and advise on business decisions using these insights

ETL Development requirements
SQL programming familiarity in large RDBMS (T-SQL preferred), SSIS /Visual C#, Biml
Exposure to ETL and data integration processes
Strong understanding of data warehouse design and implementation best practices
Must have min 5 years ETL experience in data warehousing
Skills must include performance tuning i.e. designing ETL for optimal performance
Exposure to data integration processes
Must have at least moderate ability to implement physical data model
Must have very strong knowledge of dimensional models
Participates in the full product lifecycle from envisioning to the successful release of a product
Works with the Product Development team to conduct effort estimation against all roadmap items
Assist in troubleshooting, debugging and implementing solutions for new and existing products
Actively participates in peer code reviews and discussions
Communicate technical aspects of the job to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ensures that all products and deliverables are fully documented for internal and external usage, and assists with developing and administering training sessions for stakeholders
Front-End Development requirements
Solid working experience in SSRS, SSAS (Multidimensional and / or Tabular) and SharePoint
Experience working with and implementing semantic models
Development of a variety of BI applications for web and desktop.
Participates in the full product lifecycle from envisioning to the successful release of a product
Works with the Product Development team to conduct effort estimation against all roadmap items
Assist in troubleshooting, debugging and implementing solutions for new and existing products
Actively participates in peer code reviews and discussions

Substantial practical experience in a structured BI environment

Be able to work within the framework of project methodologies and work independently on support and maintenance tasks
Experience Required
Data design, systems design experience in a BI environment;
Previous experience in Financial Services and/or Loans business would be an advantage.
