Description:

We are looking for a Community Manager to work on the South African social media communities for top global liquor brands. In the role of Community Manager you will responsible for building, growing and nurturing local online communities through always-on conversations on all social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and Pininterest, etc leveraging the brands digital agencies capabilities

You will be responsible for managing and growing the brands’ online communities by driving engagement on social media platforms. This includes identifying opportunities and ideas for media support and influencer engagement.

The successful candidate will be a highly creative and diligent person who is passionate about building brands in the digital age. A pro-active attitude, exceptional writing ability and outstanding communication skills are non-negotiable.

You will report into the Digital Marketing Manager, but work closely with agency partners to ensure all communication is on strategy and engaging for our consumers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily community management of social platforms – updates and conversational scanning

Identify opportunities for tactical and customised consumer engagement

Respond appropriately to user comments and queries and reporting

Engage with bloggers, influencers and media to build brand awareness

Assist with community insights and trend analysis to achieve business objectives of brands

Ensure all campaigns are socially amplified

Liaise with internal clients, agencies and suppliers

Job Description

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Exceptional writing ability and attention to detail (a writing test will form part of the interview process)

Strong knowledge of digital marketing, branding and creative communications

Bachelor’s Degree and/or diploma from AAA, Vega or Red & Yellow

Minimum five years’ experience managing social media for brands

Understand the mechanics of a variety of social media platforms

Ability to multi-task and be proactive

Strong communication skills and confidence

High level of creativity, logic and problem-solving skills

Experience in online reputation management platform, Sprinklr or similar

FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

Digital Marketing : content production, community management and consumers interaction

Integrated Communications : Media planning and campaigns execution and timing

Project management, teamwork and agencies coordination

Reporting, tracking results and optimizing digital assets, budget and interactions

Knowledge sharing, consumers trends and technology watch

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

Excellent strategic and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be working with key brands teams within the organisation.

Creative problem solver with ability to multi-task while giving attention to details.

Proven experience in digital marketing (Social Media, ePR, eCommerce, eCRM, Search, Media)

Strong understanding of the digital landscape and how it can be used to support and develop the brand.

Creative, technology savvy with a true interest in brands.

Result driven, a self-starter
