Our client is one of the fastest growing travel companies in the world and one of the world’s largest independent travel retailers operating in 8 countries. They’re looking for a candidate experienced in running social media across multiple brands including content, competitions and engagement.

Accountabilities

Devise social strategy and coordinate social media initiatives

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years successful experience of using social media to deliver marketing campaigns on behalf of brands

Experience of devising a Google+ social strategy to grow and help improve SEO rankings

Platforms Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, You Tube, Instagram etc

Record of achievement in building online and offline communities and currently active in the travel community

Demonstrated experience and understanding of blogging platforms and tools, preferably on behalf of a brand

Experience using WordPress (or similar) blogging platform

Experience using monitoring program Hootsuite

Experience managing the development of Facebook applications and contests

Understanding of Google Analytics for social media tracking and reporting

Knowledge of UTM link tagging for tracking and reporting

Experience writing, planning and implementing Facebook advertising, monitoring results and optimising spend

Experience of engaging with the travel community on social media

Experience of organising both online and offline social media events (Tweet ups/ Twitter chats/ Live webcasts)

Intermediate knowledge of SEO principals including meta data

Solid business understanding of Facebook developer tools/concepts such as open graph, apps and social plug ins

Experience of briefing and working with Web Development teams to launch new Facebook concepts

Create rich and engaging content

Ensure blogging and content best practices are adhered to

Work with the SEO team to create SEO friendly content

Ensure linking best practices are adhered to

Provide outstanding service to customers

Work with brand leaders on social media initiatives

Focus on customer needs

Manage conflicting priorities

Developing proposals and targets and implementing results-oriented social media campaigns

Working with brand managers to support marketing campaigns

Provide monthly reporting

Establish relationships within external travel, social media, and other communities

Build and sustain productive relationships with Brand Leaders, Marketing Mangers, Product Managers, Area Leaders, Team Leaders and other staff

Running social media events

Attending roadshows and store events and promoting them on social channels

Evangelise the social media strategy internally to staff through training and attending events and externally at events

Foster and share new ideas, concepts, and technologies among the team

Being in touch with developments in the social media arena and thinking of ways we can stay ahead

Qualification
