GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide daily technical support to rigs under his remit

• Assist with technical downtime issues

• Liaise with OEM’s as required

• Assist with technical audit function in relation to maintenance and technical procedures

• Assist with PM development as required

• Assist with annual budget preparation

• Carry out  rig familiarisation visits

• Assist HOD with the design and implementation of troubleshooting guides

• Participate in duty phone roster system for technical issues outside office hours

• Be familiar with all systems, directives and procedures and actively participate in the implementation

• Be familiar with all rig mechanical systems and controls fleet wide

• Be prepared to travel worldwide at short notice when required

Qualifications

Job REQUIREMENTS

• Min 5 years’ experience

• Trained in Mechanical trade or engineering degree

• Good level of verbal and written communication in English.

• Good computer skills

• Familiar with computerised control systems

• Experience on /with Offshore Drill Rigs and Rig equipment and Troubleshooting

• Sound knowledge of rotating equipment

• Sound knowledge of hydraulic controls and systems

Senior Project Manager - Newbuilds & Repairs(

Description

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Senior Project Manager is in overall charge of the Project group of new builds, upgrades, dry-docking, class surveys and repair. He is responsible for ensuring all these projects are planned, budgeted and implemented in a timely and efficient manner, with minimum impact to operations. He will oversee and monitor projects execution and support the Project Managers as required.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes, but is not limited to and not in order of priority:

• Responsible to the Project Director for effective management of projects related to new builds, upgrades, dry docking and repairs.

• Review and define scope of work, specifications and cost estimation for projects and recommend budget

• Technical evaluation and identification of shipyard / contractors / vendors for projects in collaboration with Supply chain

• Provide technical input into any project proposal to support management in decisions towards feasibility, contracts, client requirements, yard proposals, project risks, schedule and organisation.

• Review of project plan / schedule by shipyards / contractors and approval

• Planning and management of project management teams

• Effective management of contracts in terms of scope of work, cost, schedule compliance, quality assurance and safety.

• Monitoring, control and feedback of project progress and remedial actions for any deviations.

• Change management with contractors with respect to agreed scope of work and specifications, including technical and commercial negotiations with contractors.

• Interface between contractors, OFE vendors, Design & Engineering department/ vendors and other third parties

• Interface with classification societies as required.

• Effective implementation of Management information system and timely and correct reporting, including finance reporting

• Maintain a close relationship with operational group in which decisions can be made from position of mutual trust.

• Ensure that company is presented to client, contractors, vendors and public in a positive, supportive manner in line with corporate strategy.

• Keep the Project Director routinely informed of project status and all developments that impact schedule, cost, safety and reputation through regular reports.

• Maintain effective communication operational group and provide required information as necessary.

• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance within an agreed management system and procedures.

• Ensure that all phases of a project are properly completed, closed out and accepted.

• Look ahead and forward planning for future projects

• Assist to provide forward estimates of annual budgets as required by financial controls.

• Keep the Project Director continuously informed of forward manning requirements to satisfy contract and project needs.

• Assistance and Management if required of any Client Site Construction activities

• Responsible for continued improvements of project management and control systems in order to improve efficiency and reduce risk

• Manage staffing and HR functions of project teams at sites

• Provide leadership and motivation to a multi-site and multi-cultural Project Team

• Carry out competence assessments and appraisals in respect to Project Personnel

• Ensure compliance to all relevant Company management systems and where applicable client procedures and statutory requirements

• Assist or coordinate the compilation of work scopes or major yard project.

• Coordinate and manage the Preservation and Reactivation activities of vessels/rigs.

• Deliver priced reactivation scopes prior vessels stacking

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in engineering, and over fifteen years of experience with advance knowledge, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education; or

• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience

• Chartered Engineer Status

• Fluent in English, Written and Verbal

• Good communication skills

• Good working relationships with multi-cultural groups and diversities

• Computer skills including Microsoft Office, MS Project and Autocad.

• Ability to represent SK favourably towards clients.

• Ability to lead, motivate and guide

• +20 years’ experience, demonstrating participation and proficiency in –

• Marine Operations and Maintenance offshore and onshore

• Construction Management

• Commissioning Management

• System Integration and Site acceptance Testing activities

• Track record in project management and delivery

• Knowledge, expertise and experience in managing projects in the area of ship building / upgrades and dry docking Project Management

• Experience in overseeing multiple projects / contracts simultaneously

PURPOSE OF ROLE

1.The purpose of this position is to provide support to Asset Management teams with regards to Vessel/Rigs drawings and perform assessments/modifications as required.

2. Provide support to Operations and Business Acquisition with clash checks, bids, lift plans, etc, as prompted by Supervisor.

3. Full control and responsibility in archiving of all Drawings & Documentations.

4. Punctuality at work place is compulsory.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes, but is not limited to and not in order of priority:

• Awareness of the design of oil field and marine equipment design principles, machining, welding, casting, and other fabrication techniques.

• Develop preliminary sketches, layout, assembly and detail drawings using AutoCAD.

• Incorporate All Details in Drawings for Constructions

• Ability to self-check work before issue and use only accurate information when creating drawings

• Ability to carry out survey at site and record accurate information as necessary to develop fit for purpose and reliable drawings.

• Ensure documents are filed correctly and document lists are accurate at all times

• Other work as directed.

Work Environmental & Physical Demands:

The Draughtsman may be assigned to work at a Client’s office, facility or site for an extended period of time. When the Draughtsman is performing outside SKD’s office, appropriate safety training and safety equipment will be provided by SKD’ and/or Client as required.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Advanced Skilled in AutoCAD is compulsory

• General knowledge on computer application

Professional Experience:

• Minimum with 5 years of experience as Draughtsman in Marine related industry

• A completed apprenticeship training in Shipbuilding & Ship repairing or equivalent will be an advantage

• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience

• Tender Drilling experience will be an advantage

Licenses, Certificates, Credentials, and Other Requirements:

• Medical Certificates are needed as required by local regulations.

• Pre-employment and random drug tests are required.

• Background screening includes previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.

Knowledge

• Ability to competently and safely perform duties defined in the job description

• Experience in Oil & Gas, Shipbuilding & Shiprepairing will be an advantage

• Must be familiar with the technical terms used in Drilling or Marine Industry
