The Job

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer will assist in managing the overall project from

agents as well as offering technical support to the Engineering Department. In addition to participating

The Job

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Field Engineer shall assist in implementing, supervising and

overseeing all project construction scopes within a corporate culture focusing sharply upon HSE and

continuous improvement. Responsible for managing and executing fabrication and construction

activities, you will coordinate and organize lining and construction teams as well as monitor manpower

loading and equipment in order to meet project schedules. Always keeping track of activities against

project plan, you will prepare regular and detailed progress reports. Having checked and reviewed the

design, calculations and analysis for materials and equipment, you will ensure related purchases comply

fully with specifications and drawings. Then monitoring materials and equipment delivery, you will

provide weekly materials status updates to the procurement plan. Another important facet of your role

An Engineering Graduate, your minimum of five years’ relevant working experience in fabrication and

The Job

team and manage the daily operation of all InField Liner™ related construction activities within a

works are planned and undertaken to the required designs, specifications, standards and QHSE

requirements, you will supervise the site team, including subcontractors and vendors. At all times, you

will monitor and report progress of site works and associated costs to the Construction Manager,

providing timely identification of deviations from project schedules and budgets. In addition to ensuring

the construction schedule is maintained and accurate, you will be responsible for keeping detailed

records of all site activities. A further key responsibility will be identification of problematic design

issues, making associated recommendations for cost effective re-design solutions. The investigation of

damage, accidents, and delays will also fall within your remit.

The Person

An Engineering Graduate, your minimum of 10 years’ experience within the Oil and Gas industry has

encompassed construction, engineering and maintenance of offshore topside and pipeline/subsea

standards, regulations, and Quality Management System requirements. This will involve development

of inspection and test plans as well as ensuring documentation and project execution is undertaken in

You are a Graduate in Quality Management Systems or Engineering who possesses a solid background in

The Job

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for corrosion protection job completion to

customer specification in a timely and cost-effective manner, and in accordance with established high

standards of quality and safety. In so doing, you will supervise multicultural Foremen and crews, both

on site and at customer premises, engaged in specialized coating and lining of pipelines, vessels, tanks,

offshore structures and the like, predominantly for the oil, gas, water and power industries.

The Person

Already a safety and quality orientated Supervisor, your knowledge of coatings and linings has been

ideally complemented by relevant industry specific qualifications (NACE, BGAS, SPCC). Further, you have

gained significant experience of supervising crews of diverse nationalities undertaking the application of

coatings and linings. A competent communicator, with good written and spoken English language skills,

you will be very effective in liaising with crew members, management representatives and clients.

QUANTITY SURVEYOR, COATINGS AND LININGS

Reason for the Vacancy

As part of the ongoing reinvigoration of our Coatings and Linings Division, the role of Quantity Surveyor

has been created to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer service.

The Job

Against the backdrop of responsibility for measurement, quantification and documentation of

completed works against purchase orders, you will liaise with the Contracts Manager and Estimation

Department regarding works planning and resource allocation prior to reviewing progress and

variations. You will also liaise with the Quality Department to ensure maintenance of appropriate

records, as well as prepare variations summaries and associated invoices, interacting with the

Commercial Department and client representatives in cases of payment queries or disputes. In addition,

you will be encouraged to provide feedback to facilitate continuous improvement of the work of the

Estimation Department.

The Person

A Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering Graduate, you have already gained at least five years’

experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a contracting environment. Further, you will ideally have at

least three years’ involvement within a coatings and linings company. In view of the need for regular

client site visits, you must be physically fit and neither afraid of heights nor claustrophobic. Given the

range of contacts with whom you will liaise, you must possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as the

ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of personnel. An

action orientated and resilient individual, you are also highly self-organized and accustomed to working

independently without close supervision. Given the continuing growth and evolution of the business, a

strong change orientation would also be advantageous.
