About the Job:

Plug Ins is seeing a new Commercial Manager to join our Head Office based in Dubai. In this role you will be responsible for:

Category Planning & Management
* Ability to efficiently manage of all product categories to maximise business performance and ensure margin targets are achieved.
* Constant review of all product groups to ensure that the customer experience and offer is always top of mind.
* Manage senior buying team to ensure business objectives are understood and achieved and work efficiencies under constant review.

Sourcing & Margin Negotiation
* Ensuring the business is in line with industry trends and customer needs through an efficient buying function that delivers the highest possible standards.
* Negotiate all commercial and trading agreements with external partners that ensure short and long term benefits to the business. In particular focusing on payment terms, rebates, margin percentage and promotional support.
* Ensure that stores have the optimal product mix and allowing strategic placement of high margin products in high volume areas to maximise profit.
* Regular review of financial performance to ensure products are delivering bottom line performance and where necessary initiate product category changes to drive high margin lines.

Product Management
* Support the Logistics Manager in ensuring inventory targets including ageing stock is managed and achieved.
* Ensuring that all aged inventory is successfully managed and controlled in the business and ensure targets are achieved.
* Effective range management including the development of private label, exclusive brands and own brand products to support consumer demand and margin contribution.

Marketing  & B2B Management
* Align all buying activities with the marketing calendar to ensure cost efficiencies, return on investment and vendor contributions.
* Support the Operations Manager with all new store opening and ensure effective control of all project requirements.
* Manage the marketing function to ensure the requirements for each store are achieved as per the agreed plan and where necessary arrange for the required support from internal and external partners.

People Management & Development
* Continuous review of direct reports in order to ensure career development, individual coaching and opportunities for internal growth.
* Ensure that employee engagement is top of mind with constant people reviews take place that allow feedback and positive dialogue between the team.
* In conjunction with the Retail Business College ensure that all direct reports have the opportunity to learn and grow. Maximising performance and building a high performing team. Utilise external partners for specific product knowledge training.
