About the Business
Description and Desired Qualifications
Job Purpose:
Work closely with CH2M HILL Water- Energy nexus to provide a reliable source of BD Support and Publication services, using CH2M HILL proposal development tools and processes.
Develop strong working relationships with the CH2M HILL regional Water- Energy nexus sales and BD managers.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Works with minimal direction from a proposal manager or sales manager, leading the preparation and production of large proposals. May assist on portions of major/strategic efforts.
Possesses thorough knowledge of competitor and industry trends, typically within an assigned client market area.
With minimal supervision, responsible for independently performing research, writing, editing, and proposal production and coordination on a variety of BD efforts.
Supports Sales Manager in integrating pursuit strategy/win themes. May coordinate the integration of the pursuit strategy/win themes for large proposals, and assist on major/strategic efforts.
Acts as proposal lead of production staff on assigned efforts, recommends staff and resource allocation to deliver proposal efforts.
May establish pre-production document management and file-sharing processes on some proposals.
Coordinates content collection with teaming partners and subcontractors as needed.
Prepares and ensures compliant and timely proposal deliverables. Tracks development of the proposal process, including meeting client requirements, schedule, and budget. Communicates issues/variances.
Writes or edits content for some nontechnical sections, including tailoring resume and project description content.
Coordinates needed resources including graphic design, document publishing, and production staff.
Accountable for QA/QC of assigned proposals and proposal sections.
Decides most effective method to deliver work to achieve goals of assigned BD efforts.
Builds internal client network within Business and/or Client Group.
Leads communications with graphic design, document publishing, and production staff.
Understands Enterprise objectives and services provided by Business Groups.
Implements company image/brand on assigned projects.
Conducts follow up on completed proposals and applies lessons learned to future efforts.
Has knowledge of and ability to perform (at a basic level) contributing skills (including document publishing, graphic design, and reprographic standards) supporting identification of best practices.
Basic Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Thorough understanding of business objectives, priorities, and strategy in the BD and proposal publishing environment. Understands how BD publishing integrates with and affects other areas.
Understands and applies Opportunity Assessment and Development process and Proposal and Conversion Process.
Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills. Possesses effective active listening skills
