JOB PURPOSE
To plan, co-ordinate and execute the installation of all Renaissance & Capillary equipment at the well site, in-line with Weatherford and clients policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
To maintain all Weatherford Renaissance & Capillary intervention equipment offshore and onshore if required. Maintain a professional working manner adhering to all statutory regulations and good industry working practice.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Directly Reports to:
Renaissance & Capillary Operation Supervisor
Along with:
Renaissance & Capillary Manager
Indirectly Reports to:
Client representative when on location.
Technical Sales Engineer / Operations Manager when working outside of UK, Holland and Demark.
Directly Supervises:
Junior Field Technician as required / Mentors less experienced crew members on location as required.
KEY ACTIVITIES
Demonstrate, through assessment and internal interactions a full understanding of all Weatherford associated Renaissance & Capillary equipment systems and functionality.
Undertake any training globally deemed necessary to fulfil customer requirements. Undertake any required training globally to a satisfactory level of achievement within the Renaissance & Capillary Product line.
Liase with and supervise when required the on-site rig / Weatherford crew to ensure correct equipment handling during installation.
As required to act as a “Lead” by managing various others within a crew or team environment.
Install and or oversee the installation of Renaissance & Capillary equipment using proven and established working practises within the remit of Quality and Safety Management Systems.
Ensure and or oversee that all preparations have taken place to ensure that Weatherford equipment is fit for use and all pre-installation checks / testing have been carried out to a high standard onshore / offshore.
Ensure that all Weatherford Job pack information /documentation and certification package has been checked and verified before operations commence onshore / offshore.
If requested attend Operations / QHSE meetings to share and update on recent well-site activities, any new equipment / processes/and technical information. This meeting will also raise any Health and Safety Issues and allow the Field Technician to bring up any relevant issues.
Attend pre-job briefing and debriefing meetings to update on customer requirements De-briefs to be completed as soon as is practicable on return to base to minimise effect on ongoing operations.
Supply input to the Field Supervisor on any issues regarding Weatherford equipment.
Be pro-active in supplying information to the Field supervisor / Project Engineer so as to ensure that the successful completion of a Client End of Well document is completed.
Promote the good name of CPS through customer interaction and carry out a professional approach to the job in hand - fostering good relations for continued business.
Maintain a professional demeanour and attitude,
Ensure that all documentation required for operational activities - i.e., Passports; statutory UKOOA & Norwegian survival and medical certificates; appropriate immunisation documents, etc. - are up to date and maintained
Provide Company management with 24-hour contact / availability for all CPS operations and undertake any required training to a satisfactory level of achievement.
INDIVIDUAL SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Safety and the Environment.
Apply CPS, and where appropriate Client Company’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy including Safety Management Systems.
Take part in client offshore Safety Culture by means of being pro- active with the Clients safety systems.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Possess a good level of general education of at least SCE Standard Grades in Mathematics & English Language.
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Essential:
Relevant experience in wellbore intervention operations particularly Slickline / Eline or Coil tubing.
Must demonstrate a good knowledge of Well Services Operations along with an understanding of Well Intervention skills.
Must have excellent communication skills, along with an ability to work in a team environment as well as an ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems and be able to communicate back to onshore.
Must have demonstrated an ability to effectively utilise dedicated resources.
Must have basic keyboard and/or computer skills
Preferred:
Experience as a diesel mechanic and/or experience in hydraulic systems.
Experience of being in a team member within an intervention crew or an offshore WellServices crew.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
Required for position:
Demonstrate proven ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems.
Deliver proven ability to participate well in a team environment.
Must be able to anticipate customer needs and be a key player in developing relationships.
