JOB SCOPE:

The Region Product Line Sales Manager supports regional and country resources and builds capability to proactively and strategically sell Weatherford tools, technologies and services within the defined Product Line segment.  In alignment with the agreed sales plan, the Region Product Line Sales Manager also works to establish customer relationships that enable the identification of customer needs and the positioning of Weatherford solutions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans and leads the integration of PL sales activities and initiatives across the region

Partners with A/C Management to understand/navigate customers and identify decision makers and work towards building “trusted-advisor” relationships with key individuals

Ensure products and services are marketed, positioned and understood by key decision makers within client organizations

Proposes solutions to customers formally (through pitches, presentations and tender/bid submissions) and informally through networks, relationships, discussions

Communicate/explain/position specialist product line technology

Builds and implements the regional Sales plan and works with country Sales managers to align Sales plans.

Supports the development of PL Sales people across the organization through communication, coaching, training, and the dissemination of tools and materials

Takes and executes sales orders utilizing appropriate tools, systems, processes and technology

Supports and coordinates the [technical PL] education of wider regional sales community

Maintains understanding of WFT technical capabilities and service, and effectively communicates product line services and technology to customers

Engages account management and other sales personnel

Feeds back customer information, intelligence, requirements and requests to relevant WFT stakeholders in a timely manner

Ensures WFT systems, including Salesforce are updated and maintained with appropriate sales data in a timely manner

Provides tactical input to Strategy when required

Responsible for relaying competitive information back to the appropriate product line stakeholders, including pricing, good/bad product performance, marketing material, activities, new products/technology etc.

Submit technical abstracts or articles to industry publications and/or WFT intercompany magazine

Compile and publish Real Results relevant to technology and local market. Enlisting client participation is highly encouraged

Participate in industry trade organizations and other pertinent technical associations or committees, workshops, SPE regional meetings/study groups

Engage local/regional Petroleum Engineering Colleges and Universities in line with the local recruitment strategy seeks opportunities for involvement in the Student SPE Chapter, Lunch and Learns and other creative ways to meet and interact with the students/future clients.

Provides tactical input to the global PL Sales Strategy when required

Coaches and mentors junior Product Line sales personnel where appropriate

Regularly communicates product line information, sales updates and technical information (real results) to other sales and Account Management staff

Works with the Account Management team and other colleagues to understand client information (spend, Ops, competition, technical challenges, etc) in advance of customer visits, meetings, presentations or calls.

Performs duties according to the documented Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Management System, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Place Instructions, and HSSE policies.

Participates in product line demonstrations and training to customers where appropriate

Follows all WFT Compliance policies

Performs various other duties assigned by line manager/ supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Team Player

Knowledge of the Weatherford Sales Cycle

Experience of preparing and delivering client presentations

Excellent Communication Skills

Logical and methodical, results driven

Having broader and advanced knowledge of company policy, products, services and operations

Self-confidence and motivation, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment, and determination.

Advanced computer and presentation skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Bachelors Degree and/or relevant industry experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Operations or Service Industry

Knowledge and experience of Salesforce an advantage

Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure to meet specific deadlines

Experienced with RFQ, ITT, Bidding, Tendering, Negotiating

Demonstrable track record of success in previous position(s)

HSSE Leadership – Experienced with Safety Audits / Safety Tours

Operational, Technical, or Commercial experience and/or knowledge

Offshore experience desirable but not explicitly required
