We are seeking experienced Project Coordinators for our Winnipeg District office located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Responsibilities:
Assists the Project Manager and Superintendent with overall project performance including costs, schedule, quality and project status
Develops and maintains excellent relationship with sub-trades and clients
Manages change order process, including pricing, negotiating, processing and assessing cost and schedule impact prior to reviewing with the Project Manager
Administers RFI and shop drawing process
Develops performance status reports for the Project Manager regarding cost forecast, schedule and safety
Assists the Project Manager with issuing subcontracts and monitors their progress
Coordinating construction tasks/sequences, subcontractors, and drawings
Maintains contractual responsibilities with subcontractors
Review the project budget, schedule, and project execution plan and identify any potential risks prior to the project starting and throughout its life cycle
Involved in all facets of project closeout, including archiving documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies and warranty work
Assisting with the development and implementation of project HSE and quality plans and provide proactive leadership
Development and management of the project controls plan including cost management, project planning, and subcontract management
Retrieving and consolidating information from various sources
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related engineering or construction management discipline
Minimum of 5 years construction experience in an operational role. Preference will be given to those who have previous coordination experience within a large general contractor
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
The ability to succeed under strict timelines
Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, and building materials
Knowledge of applicable laws and building codes
Great attention to detail and the ability creatively solve problems
Basic understanding of construction sequences
Ability to plan and organize construction activities
Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to establish strong working relationships with sub trades and clients
