John Bead, an exciting and fast paced working environment, is looking for a Photographer to join our marketing team. As a Photographer on our team, you will have the opportunity to work on, individual product shots, in-store/online banners, and layouts for bi-annual supplements and catalogs as well occasional editorial style photographs. In addition, your activities will support the coordination of the marketing department.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be involved in a number of projects including:
Photography and development of promotional materials for our world class beads and crafting materials, including but not limited to; web banners, email graphics for advertisements, magazine supplements, and product packaging.
John Bead has over 60,000 products, maintaining and updating photos for website, banners, advertisements, etc.
Photography and layout of product catalogs –the candidate will have a creative approach to product layout and organization.
Using your creativity to add props to aid in the attractiveness of the photo
Maintaining Photography equipment
Responsibilities:
80% of time will be taking photos
To make attractive photos
To maintain a consistent look of product photos
Ensure graphical control and maintain a consistent brand identity in every project, both externally and internally, by respecting the graphic standards of the company.
Provides creative input and technical expertise to support marketing department.
Completing design projects independently with minimal guidance.
Working with printers and printing promotional materials in house when required
Maintaining established file management systems and protocols.
Maybe be required to do graphic design when needed.
Maybe required to do video if needed
Qualifications:
In- Depth knowledge of an extensive range of technical equipment such as; DSLR cameras, lenses, and lighting.
Recognized Photography diploma from a recognized institution.
Minimum 3 years of professional industry experience.
Experience in studio photography, staging a photo scene and arranging still life objects, products, props and backgrounds.
Proven efficiency using image processing software (e.g., Light Room, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Adobe Illustrator).
Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to work with multiple deadlines within a fast pace changing environment.
Knowledge of specialty software and print drives for digital printing.
Understanding of digital colour environment and requirements to prepare files for printing.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel).
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Problem solving and resolution skills.
Strong oral and written communication in English (French language an asset).
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work with others in a dynamic team environment.
Creative talent as evidence by a portfolio of completed work.
Experience in Videography is a benefit
