The Digital Marketer is responsible for building initial SEO strategy for new customers as well as remediating FirmSite performance for existing clients. This role is focused on defining initial SEO strategy based on performance factors including market opportunities, competitiveness, and existing web presence. In addition, the role is responsible for diagnosing and remediating FirmSite performance through a combination of automated performance alert reporting, data gathering, and website analysis.
Job Requirements:
Consultation:
-Conduct interviews with clients to understand their marketing objectives and strategies, analyze the performance of their web presence and recommend tactics that will help realize the customers' long-term web marketing goals.
-Make recommendations to define clients SEO strategy based on industry expertise, market competitiveness, client objectives, and established organizational standards and practices.
-Partner with internal and external clients to ensure the website development process results in an optimal search configuration and results.
Research and Analysis:
-Research and identify appropriate key phrases and geographic targets based on client objectives, search traffic and search competition.
-Identify website performance opportunities based on a variety of factors including: search volume, market size, competitors, and existing marketing presence on the web.
-Use analytical skills, provide insights, recommendations and execute changes to key areas of the site.
Production:
-Create the initial strategy and ongoing remediation for the customer websites that aligns with the strategy for the customer.
-Create custom title tags for client websites based on organizational standards and practices.
-Create required page level redirects to assist in driving site performance.
-Review completed websites for compliance with company search optimization best practices.
-Utilize information provided by FindLaw’s customers and analytics to help define the market they will pursue. This includes market definition based on geographic locations, as well as legal practice areas and requires understanding how law firms work.
-Remediate FirmSite performance issues based on in-depth data collection and analysis.
Project Management:
-Oversee the tracking/reporting of client data on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to assess client performance and recommend related strategies.
-Responsible for account specific web analytics reports that meet the needs of clients and align to their web site goals and objectives.
-May oversee a variety of projects such as UK and Canadian site strategy, video optimizations product and process pilots.

Qualifications
Experience:
-Minimum of 2 years of relevant, professional work experience specific to web environments, Search Marketing, and Search Engine Optimization.
Knowledge/Skills:
-Proficient at using Web analytics tools, such as Omniture (Site Catalyst), Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools
-Advanced understanding of SEO including onsite & offsite optimization, as well as Google algorithm updates and filters.
-Working knowledge of Excel for data manipulation, analysis, trends and charting.
-Familiarity with HTML and CSS in relation to their impact on SEO
-Proficiency with keyword research and online market analysis.
-Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and strong time management to deliver high quality work for multiple accounts while meeting aggressive deadlines.
-Proven ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented, dynamic environment.
-Ability to anticipate business needs and proactively address the changing environment.
-Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills; including ability to present in small and large group settings, which may include executive level attendees.
-Working knowledge of site architecture, sitemaps, and web development
-Skilled in using, reading, and analyzing information in Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools, Site Catalyst, Screaming Frog, and AdWords
-Time manage multiple client projects
-Skilled in diagnosing and fixing website performance problems
-Ability to build relationships with customers and effectively resolve difficult client situations
-Technical, analytical, questioner, self-directed, open, and thorough
Education:
-High School Degree or Equivalent
-4 year degree preferred. Business or Marketing preferred.
