Overview:
The Director - Menu Services Production is a Corporate Marketing function responsible for the end to end delivery of menu services to our Operating Companies and customers. This will include leading the integration of several teams that will be key to the success of the new Sysco Menu Services function. This Director will have ownership of this shared service organization and provide leadership to this newly formed entity as it builds and deploys an integrated service to all Operating Companies.
Responsibilities:

Guide transition of new team

* Develop a plan to onboard new team members
* Work with leadership in Menu Analysis, Marketing, and other departments to determine the best way to integrate new team members and document business processes.
Guide planning and integration of Menu Services

* Act as key liaison between Corporate, SBS, Markets and the OpCos to understand all user requirements
* Develop a detailed integration plan to stand up a menu services function (to be completed 2-3 months post ‘kick off’) to include Menu Analysis, Engineering and Menu Design
* Build out an 18 month phased deployment plan for menu services to all Operating companies
* Assess required number of resources to support each phase of roll out, and future volume of work and align all parties on the best organizational structure
* Develop a plan to hire/transfer and onboard other new team members
* Train associates on how to utilize tools and processes required for their roles
Oversee the execution of the integration plan

* Function as the key liaison between Corporate, SBS, Markets and the OpCos for ongoing communications
* Identify and share best practices from Menu Services in Operating companies and provided by 3rdparties
* Monitor integration of people, tools, and processes
* Lead the development and continuous improvement of integrated business processes as this organization develops
Drive accountability of Menu Services

* Establish design standards
* Coordinate execution of Menu Services across the OpCos and/or customers
* Provide OpCos with training and communication to guide execution of this service to customers
* Regularly monitor Menu Services performance against the plan and agreed upon service levels and adjust as necessary
* Measure ROI on Menu Services and optimize spend accordingly
Provide input to the Corporate marketing strategy, plan and budget

* Implement the Menu Services strategy that drives profitable growth for the Customer and Sysco
* Assist in the management of all costs associated with providing centralized menu services – charges/complementary services for key customers/charges for any non-Sysco customers
* Contribute to marketing plan and budget development
* Provide feedback on the strategy, plan and budget
Support overall Marketing Transformation

* Integrate existing best practices and Menu Services capability
* Build a collaborative team that supports the Operating companies and consistently delivers exceptional service, communication and is highly responsive.
* Build out the Menu Services organization

Qualifications:

* Marketing degree or equivalent (MBA a plus)
* Some experience with P&L accountability including planning and budgeting required
* Project management experience
* Previous experience leading teams required (cross-functional team experience preferred).
* Prior Sysco experience preferred
* Food Industry knowledge preferred
* Formal or classical marketing expertise, familiarilty with graphic design, menu engineering concepts acquired through education or training preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

* This position’s job functions will be carried out in a professional office environment and can be performed from the Corporate facility or remote Market-based facility or Operating company location.
* Must be able to travel 35-50% to Sysco facilities or operating companies.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
