The Ayn Rand Institute (ARI) is seeking a full-time Education Marketing Manager to work in our Irvine, California, office. This position reports to the Education Manager.

Responsibilities include generating and implementing strategies to promote Ayn Rand's novels and ideas, as well as existing and future ARI education programs to students and educators at the high school and university level. The Education Marketing Manager will create the content and design for all marketing materials and advertisements, and will oversee the content and design development of our education websites. This person will also be responsible for increasing and maintaining participation in all ARI education programs and events, and for reporting mechanisms to effectively measure the impact of promotional activity. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and providing information about user experience for ARI's online education resources. The Marketing Manager will also recommend changes or additions to our existing educational programs and propose outreach methods to expand awareness and understanding of Ayn Rand's novels and ideas.

The candidate must be well acquainted with Objectivism and be able to communicate the ideas and principles in both oral and written form. Candidate needs to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compile research data into management reports. The position will have continuing contact with vendors, students, educators and school administrators, so the ability to develop long-term professional relationships and excellent networking skills is required. The ideal candidate is proactive, “big picture,†detail-oriented and organized and able to multitask and work independently under pressure and tight deadlines. Five years proven success in marketing and an understanding of audience research and analysis is required. A college degree in business or marketing is preferred. Project management skills are a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and some database experience as well as experience with web-hosted applications and forums, such as blogs and social networks that promote material online, is essential. Supervisory experience is preferred. This position requires some travel.
