Functional Overview:
C&I Operations is a constantly changing environment focused on managing business delivery and financial performance, customers’ expectations, risk efficiency and control, and people management. With our flat, non-hierarchical structure and team oriented culture we encourage creativity and entrepreneurialism, and are constantly striving to provide better service to our global clients.
Within Operations, The Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) team maintains the front to back customer Onboarding process including AML, Tax, Credit and Account setup. The CDD component of the CLM team has responsibility for performing due diligence, interfacing with Onboarding, the front office and/or the customer to collect information, consolidating information into the customer file and ultimately accepting the customer. Role Summary:
RBS is looking for a qualified individual to lead our regional business strategy for both process and technology related to CLM. The role is a critical part of maintaining a sound AML program at C&I in the region, and also will play a part in oversight of our global processes alongside the current Global Head of Client Due Diligence, based in Stamford, CT. The role will directly oversee strategic transformation initiatives related to the function in the region, including the front to back Onboarding process, standardization and automation of MI and KPIs, and delivery of a global due diligence solution. The role will have management responsibilities for a small team of MI / Business Analysts and will also sit on the regional CLM Management Team.
Role Responsibilities:
Work with regional functional heads within CLM team to outline, document and achieve strategic transformation of processes and technologies
Interface with global CLM counterparts and Technology leads to ensure regional requirements are implemented
Define and translate for IT development leads the business requirements for a Client Due Diligence application
Manage Business Analyst and MI staff to produce required documentation, requirements and reports
Build an appropriate regional "Champion" community to support the transformation efforts across CLM and participate in the global community related to the Client Due Diligence toolset
Qualifications
Role Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of the AML and Client Due Diligence processes and relevant regulations
Knowledge and understanding of Investment and/or Corporate Banking and Markets (Securities Trading) products
Ability to multi-task, work well across a diverse team and deliver results
Minimum 5 years experience in AML Compliance, Audit or Assurance, Client Onboarding or related functions
Expert technical ability including oversight / operation / development of Onboarding or Case Management solutions
Experience as manager of staff in a non-development environment
Excellent communication / influencing skills across a variety of audiences
Strong analytical skills
Ability to interrogate and challenge existing processes and controls
