Responsibilities:

As part of the Marketing organization and Global Public Relations team based in San Francisco, the Global PR Manager will support the development and implementation of the consumer communications strategy. The Global PR Manager will work with the Director of Global PR to design and drive programs to advance Dolby's consumer and Dolby brand oriented stories, trends and messages.

The Global PR Manager will also be responsible for strategic public relations efforts for business groups within Dolby and needs to have a clear understanding of entertainment technology as it applies to cinema, home theatre, broadcast solutions and consumer electronics.

Manage video production and coordination for online, media and social media use.

Develop and coordinate media partnerships and negotiate contracts.

Management of PR agency for consumer efforts as well as for business group initiatives.

Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external clients, including: executives, P&L leaders, marketing and sales teams, product managers, reporters, editors, producers and bloggers.

Support the strategic coordination of the global PR team, working with colleagues across different countries and cultures.

Work closely with many functions within the marketing group including social media, web, creative services, brand and partner marketing.

Participate and lead, coordinate, design and execute media events and tradeshows.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, History, Marketing or a related field and minimum 6 years communications experience.

Media relations experience required, management experience a plus.

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

Solid understanding of technology and entertainment distribution channels (i.e. broadcast television, Blu-ray, streaming media, cinema, consumer electronics and post production tools.

Developed and executed strategic and integrated communications plans with a solid understanding of managing program budgets.

Ability to work across multiple businesses and marketing functions and deliver strategic advice/counsel on communication efforts to business groups and execute on a tactical level.

Experience managing crisis communications and/or serving as a media relations lead on complex issues
