About the role:

The IT Business Analyst for Supply Chain Part Capacity Planning will partner with cross-functional subject matter experts to understand business needs and process gaps; evaluate and recommend solution options in support of planning processes and related systems modernization. Once a solution is approved, the IT analyst will be directly responsible for defining use cases, business and systems requirements, developing test cases and test plans and staying engaged during the architecture, development, testing and delivery of the project as a subject matter expert.

The IT Business Analyst will act as a liaison between the end user community and the IT solutions delivery and operations support teams. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn and achieve mastery of automotive and supply chain planning processes and related advanced IT systems. Planning is a critical capability for any large organization to ensure deployment of sufficient manufacturing and supply base capacity to support new production introductions, ensure supplier launch readiness, and enable attainment of the business plan.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- A bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, information technology or a technical discipline

- At least 5-7 years of business process, systems and data experience

- Experience eliciting, writing and managing user requirements documents

- Domain knowledge of volume planning, long-term forecasting, option penetration planning, engineering releasing and change management, BOM explosion, component capacity planning, capacity monitoring, MRP, capacity control and constraint management

- Strong oral and written communication skills are required, with proven ability to communicate and build relationships cross-functionally

- Creative problem solving skills, flexible, proactive, and ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment

- Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with a team and individually

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Supplier Management

- Experience with Product Development Life Cycle, New Product Introduction, Product Definition & Change Management

- Project Management experience or certification, including status reporting, project planning and project documentation

- Understanding of IT fundamentals and technologies pertinent to creating business solutions (software development and testing, architecture, applications, databases, integration, infrastructure and networks)

- Knowledge of data structures, data base design, data warehouses, business intelligence/analytic tools, ETL tools, and data integration methods

- Knowledge of legacy modernization methodologies and tools
