About This Position

Job Summary:The Integration Developer works with the business analysts and business stakeholders of the EHR Alliance Ambulatory program in order to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of clinical Interface technical solutions. The Integration Developer will analyze, design, and validate integration requirements prepared by Business Analysts for development and changes to business processes, policies, and information systems integration. The Integration Developer validates business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and implements solutions that enable the organization to achieve its integrations goals.

In addition to being accountable to direct line Management, the Integration Developer may be accountable to and take direction from EHR Alliance Management. The Integration Developer will directly interface with internal and external LIS Information Technology departments and vendors, Dignity Health customers and other stakeholders required to drive the implementation.

Accountabilities:* Design, develop, test, and deploy custom and complex acute ambulatory and HIE integration, including modifications and custom code in conformance with Dignity Health"s development policies and procedures. * Provide problem solving support for complex integration development related issues. * Provide knowledge expertise to other integration developers and perform hands-on architecture, design and development of Dignity Health applications. This includes training and mentoring of staff with less experience and assist in the resolution of issues elevated from staff with less experience. * Partner with the business to further define and enhance requirements, explain development considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients. * Work with third party Lab Information Systems, on and offshore integration teams, and MMD HIE developers to provide best-practice assurance across customizations, vendor integration, supportability, etc. * Comply with all IT policies and procedures, and verify deliverables meet Information Security requirements. * Lead and/or participate in design, code, and test peer review sessions throughout life cycle to identify tuning/optimization opportunities and issues. * Knowledge and skill in development within interface engines such as Connextion and ConnectR * Champion and assist with the continual refinement, execution, and management of the Dignity Health enterprise integration structured development model, development toolkit, standards, and key policies and procedures related to integration development. * Work with business users on documenting, building, testing and implementing clinical integration solution design decisions. * Interpret and develop integration design specifications for the purpose of integrating external applications with financial and clinical systems.* Understands technology and application development methodologies used to perform systems analysis, testing and debugging* Assist as needed with clinical application (s) integration support team, based on approved transitions specifications.* Assist with validation processes of the system data integrity. * Review system requirements and cross application impact for installing patches/fixes provided by the vendor in accordance with change control processes.* Works on multiple projects as a development lead for the IT Connectivity Ambulatory Team

Specifications:

Experience * 5 years experience managing small to medium application development in Microsoft IIS/.NET and IBM WebSphere/Java/Portal frameworks

Preferred/Desired:* Experience with Business Objects and Cognos business intelligence and reporting packages is strongly desired

Education

Minimum Required:Bachelors" degree in a Business Management or Technical/Medical discipline

Special Knowledge, Skills, Abilities* Extensive working knowledge of the following development (and web services) framework:- Microsoft - .Net, ASP, IIS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SharePoint - IBM - Java, WebSphere (Portal , Application Server, Message Broker)- Business Objects Crystal Reports - Web monitoring and trend tools

* Working knowledge of Web 2.0 framework and mobile application development is strongly desired
