About the Job

Product Operations is seeking an experienced, driven, results-oriented Business Operations Analyst to operationally manage and administer a variety of business processes and related systems. To succeed in this role, the versatile candidate must possess strong communication, and business process automation skills. The Business Operations Analyst must be able to work collaboratively and to coordinate business and technical teams in a fast-paced environment. The Business Operations Analyst will work closely with internal customers within our Products and Development organization, as well as IT Application development teams to implement catalog changes related to product launches.

About the Team

The Akamai Products & Development Group is a team of industry leading professionals dedicated to owning and driving the innovation of digital media, software delivery, application and site acceleration, and advertising decision solutions for our customers. Product Operations defines and manages all aspects of the product lifecycle, including product definition and launch, planning processes, business metrics, and other key product management and engineering functions.

Responsibilities:

- Implement package/product designs in the enterprise product catalog application to support the monthly product launch process.

- Assist in providing reporting related to existing products in our systems to give product teams actionable information to change go to market strategies for both new and existing product offerings.

- Work with IT Systems development teams to define requirements to help develop systems to support better processes

- Help to improve the overall go to market process in terms of agility and flexibility to allow the business to more easily react to changing market trends.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree required. Computer Science or Engineering degree preferred.

- 2+ years of experience in a business operations analyst role

- 2+ years of experience with product lifecycle systems, or ERP/CRM support, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Access, and Project

Desired Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a wide range of constituencies in a diverse corporate and client environment

- Solid knowledge of product lifecycle systems and practices

- Expertise in business process automation best practices

- Knowledge and familiarity with business metrics and business operations

- Highly results-oriented with a proven capacity to deliver in a fast-paced and matrixed organization.

- High-tech/internet industry experience preferred, but not required
