To provide general supervision and coordination of the Finance functions of the Group Companies. Ensuring the finance functions in the group companies meet agreed standards in all areas. Including but not limited to:

Treasury

Internal Controls and Procedures.

Compliance and Tax

General Management

Risk Control

 
2          DUTIES          (Duties expected of the job holder)
           
A)        GENERAL DUTIES

Provides accounting support / Management Accounts for Group Companies.

Formulates broad policies and procedures to manage risk.

Advises Directors on finance and administration matters.

Manages Accounting Software Strategy including the applications; Accpac, Tourplan, MIDOCO to maximise use and benefits.

Ensures Group finance departments manage costs and the costing process.

Ensures overall financial planning and control for the Company.

Co-ordinates the preparation of the budgets across the Group.

Implements best practise in Accounts Payable including disbursement of funds, regular and accurate reconciliation’s and risk management.

Implements best practise in Accounts Receivable including receipt of funds and reconciliation of accounts.

Establishes and implements systems for the effective monitoring and control of major operational and non-operational activities of the Company.

Ensures that Voyagers Group discharges requirements to tax authorities, clients and government agencies, etc.

Provides accurate Cash Flow reports and projections as part of Treasury Management.

Supervises the Production of Statutory Accounts by Group Companies.

Supervises the Calculation of Tax liability and completion of the returns process.

Manages Accounting for Capital items, ensuring each company maintains an asset register and associated Tax records.

B)        SUPERVISORY DUTIES

Identifies the training needs of immediate subordinates, recommends training for them, and ensures that staff of the department receive appropriate training.

Appraises the performance of immediate subordinates, and ensures the fair and objective appraisal of performance of staff of the Administration Department.

Administers disciplinary measures to immediate subordinates in accordance with laid down rules and regulations.

C) OTHER DUTIES

Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
