Hours: Monday to Sunday - Rotating 8 & 12 hour shifts (hours subject to change based on operational requirements)

The GH Emergency Department provides treatment to more than 29,000 people every year. The Emergency Department has monitoring capabilities for seriously ill patients.
This is what you’ll be doing:
To provide optimum total patient care including cardiac monitoring, BCLS, and other related duties as assigned.

Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario •Excellent patient assessment skills
Advanced clinical skills with recent medical/surgical experience
Ability to make autonomous decisions
Flexibility to meet unit needs with respect to patient care and technology
A commitment to continual learning and a willingness to grow professionally
BCLS •ACLS •Coronary Care I & II, Patient Assessment required
Excellent communication skills •Ability to participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team
Recent Emergency experience required •Must be able to meet the physical demands of this position
Satisfactory attendance and employment record
The ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.
Salary Range: $31.45 to $45.47 per hour
