Assistant/Associate Professor
(Tenure-track - Prince George, Quesnel or Terrace Campus)

The University of Northern British Columbia is ranked as one of Canada's best small universities with campuses in Prince George, Terrace and Quesnel as well as across northern BC. As a small, research-intensive university, UNBC offers many opportunities for academic growth and development in a multidisciplinary, collegial environment. The School of Nursing maintains a strong, cohesive academic team across the three main campuses as well as a strong partnership with the Northern Health Authority. Collaboratively these partnerships provide many opportunities for research, education, and practice development.

The School of Nursing offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BScN) in collaboration with the College of New Caledonia (Prince George and Quesnel) and Northwest Community College in Terrace. The Rural Nursing Certificate Program (RNCP) offered by the School of Nursing is a provincial, practice-driven program that prepares registered nurses to practice in rural, remote and First Nations communities. Registered nurses can pursue their Bachelor of Science degree in our Post-Diploma RN Program. The School offers a Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) degree with two streams: both predominately delivered online. The first is a thesis-based Master of Science in Nursing; the second is the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) stream, which leads to registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia as an FNP. Nursing faculty members contribute to the University’s interdisciplinary PhD in Health Sciences.
