Be a part of the Digital Platform team responsible for the jcp.com website. You will be involved in the application changes and enhancements covering the entire software development lifecycle from define to build to test. Responsibilities:
• Work with business analysts estimating and designing effective, scalable and maintainable solutions that meet business requirements.
• Provide technical leadership to developers, through solid designs, and code reviews
• Drive Test Driven Development within the team, and define FTA environment specs
• Participate in Story Designs, and develop technical designs to meet the business requirements. Provide technical leadership to developers, through solid designs, and code reviews
• Create a collaborative team environment.
• Being highly and self-motivated to accomplish team goals in a fast paced environment.
• Working directly with other jcpenney IT associates as well as jcpenney business customers to communicate technical capabilities.
Accomplishments & Core Competencies:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience developing in Java technologies (with extensive experience in systems analysis, design and a solid java programming / debugging skills)
• 3+ years Experience with Endeca framework development
• 3+ years of J2EE, Java Spring and relational database (preferable Oracle) experience.
• 3+ years of ecommerce experience
• Extensive experience with custom software development: OOAD Methodologies; OO Design Patterns; Open Source J2EE Tools and Frameworks (Hibernate, Struts, Spring, AJAX); Web Services, middleware and messaging technologies (TIBCO, JMS);
• Experience developing and using RESTful APIs
• Ability to make informed recommendations based on the overall business context
• Ability to troubleshoot pre- and post-production implementations
• Experience in designing and implementing security, load balancing and performance for web solutions
• Solid understanding of databases
• Experience mentoring within the technical discipline
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelors degree or the above equivalent skills and years experience
Preferred:
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams
• Experience with java application profiling with tools like JProbe, IBM Health Center.
