Job Description:
- You will be responsible for the Development and maintenance of installation and deployment scripts for software applications (Windows Installer – MSI, LANDesk).
- You will populate and maintain a repository that collects all the information regarding scripts and software development that have been delivered into the production environment
- You will provide support for the developed scripts and App-V (SoftGrid) packages across the Commission’s computing environment (problem diagnosis, resolution and reporting via the Central Help Desk).
- You will also provide support with the development and 2nd level support of client specific reference configurations (desktop, laptop, PDA, smartphone, tablet, server, terminal server).
- You will create product evaluation studies
- You will develop technical documentation
Profile:
- You will be a positive representative of the image of Serco at our customer site
- You have a minimum of 3 years post secondary school education
- You have a proven experience in the abovementioned profile
- You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
- You have a good knowledge of the MS Office 2003 and 2010 suites
- You have expertise in software production and management and in software documentation and reporting
- You will have a familiarity with common Microsoft scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, VBscript, WSH) and with common programming languages (e.g. C++, C#, VB.NET, etc ..)
- You have good interpersonal skills
- You have a proven experience with the Microsoft App-V technology
- English and/or French are required written as spoken
