SAP BO & Data warehouse
Job Description:
As a full-time BI consultant, you will be advising, analyzing, implementing and testing BI solutions, and delivering services on high quality data integration and extraction projects.
Your experience will allow you to take care of acceptance criteria and anticipate end-users expectations.
In order to provide value to Devoteam’s customers, you can integrate efficiently into customer teams thanks to your versatile BI expertise, both technical and functional, preferably in the Financial sector.
You are experienced with the SAP Business Objects XI or BO4.0 platform, either for integrating it into an existing environment (technically and/or functionally) or for administering it (CMC, Os, RDBMS, authentication, SDK).
You are familiar with Universe design and Reporting via BO Deski, Webi or Crystal Reports, but any expertise on other modules like Data Integrator ETL, Dashboards (Xcelsius) or EIM and BPC tools is welcome. Analysis skills are necessary, and KPI/metrics management is a plus.
You must be familiar with the data warehouse concepts and have a rather strong SQL and technical knowledge on databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL, Sybase or MySQL (OLAP is a plus).
Staying focused on their issues / projects / needs, you will naturally sustain contact and trust with our customers. As a pragmatic team player acting responsibly and autonomously, you will propose and estimate technical solutions and possible options in your daily work.
This position will also allow you to fully contribute to the activities of our growing BI Practice, via collaboration & best practices on traditional Data warehousing, Reporting, and Dash-boarding but also for more breaking-new and ambitious BI initiatives.
Occasionally, on BI subjects, you will collaborate with other Practices:
•Applications (MS Sharepoint, .Net, Silverlight, …, Java)
•Infrastructure (MS Windows, Exchange, MS SQL, VMWare,…)
•Our recognized ICT Training Center.
Skills required
Technical skills
•Rather strong (analytic-) SQLrequired, ideally with tuning techniques, either on T-SQL or Oracle PL/SQL;
•SAP Business Objects platform: BO / Webi, Designer (data access & security, data model, semantic layer), CMC (basic or expert), Crystal Reports, Dashboards (Xcelsius);
•Other BI integration & admin skills are welcome: MS BI, SAS, Open source, Oracle, scripting (Windows, Unix, MS Office)…
Soft skills:
•Fluency in 2 languages (sorted by priority): French, English, German, Luxembourgish;
•Quality, Service and Result-oriented team player, with a good autonomy;
•Good analytical skills and understanding of enterprise processes, project life cycles;
•Good communication and presentation skills.
Functional skills:
As a complement to the Job Description, following detailed functional expertise can be an advantage:
•business areas: Retail/Private/Institutional Banking, Fund Services (FA, TA, GC, Middle/back office, Portfolio Mgmt, Risk…), Clearing, Settlement, Financial Risk management. Performance mgmt & Finance controlling in any activity sector;
•Business Intelligence: from functional and KPI/metrics requirements to BI specifications, analysis, modelling and design for flows/ transformations/storage (ETL / ELT), data restitution (queries, reports, Olap analyses, dashboards) and consumption, content management. BI Strategy definition and organisation;
•Enterprise Information Management: Data quality management, Data Profiling and Validation, Master Data Management, Information stewardness (processes, flows). Metadata mgmt, data traceability / security and consumption. High-volume or un-structured information management and consumption (mining, search engine);
•Project management&Best practices: methodologies and standard certifications.
Profile requested:
Master in IT with over 2 years of BI relevant experience,
or other Degree with over 5 years of BI relevant experience
