Job Description:
Ideally, this position will be filled by a candidate who has experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle from design to implementation, maintenance, testing, documentation and delivery. As part of the core software development team you will be a key contributor to development activities including hands-on object- oriented design, programming, and quality testing of the entire product.
This involves working in a collaborative and an Agile development environment with test-driven development, continuous integration, small release cycles, collective code ownership, and self-organization.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have strong software design, architecture and Agile based Java development experience as well as knowledge of Agile development best practices
Technical Skills –
4+ years Java (spring/hibernate/maven/etc) development experience
Strong experience developing with HTML/CSS/javascript (jQuery, underscore, backbone.js, node.js, impress.js)
Expert in AJAX/Event Driven programming
Experience with RESTful web services
Soft Skills –
Effective oral and written communication.
Pragmatists that are not dogmatic about specific technical frameworks or approaches, but instead let the functional requirements and business context dictate the technology
A passion for good code and for automated testing. We won't have time to debate the value of unit testing ... if you work with us then you test!
An ability to fill in the blanks. You need to take the initiative to get from concept to reality.
