Position Summary:

Provide overall leadership and project management to the planning, building and updating of Information Technology (IT) platforms that fulfill the multiple data and customer service needs of the RA-Cert Division. As a key IT platform used within RA-Cert, the position will focus largely on Salesforce. S/he will supervise IT solutions of the RA-Cert Division by engaging with key staff and partner organizations. This position will also provide ongoing support for implemented solutions. S/he will develop artifacts to move initiatives forward and proactively recommend and implement solutions.

Responsibilities:

Systems Analysis & Solution Identification

• Proactively communicate and collaborate with RA-Cert Division and partner organization staff to analyze information needs and functional requirements;

• Develop and deliver process & data flows and reporting tools;

• Simplify complex business problems through innovative process creation and re-engineering; and

• Provide research, direction and assistance to the RA-Cert Division in the selection and implementation of new or improved IT products and solutions.

Platform Solutions Implementation, Customization and Integration

• Lead evaluation and planning for improvements of existing systems;

• Serve as primary person responsible for key projects supporting the development of new or improved systems, including liaising with vendors, coordination of staff input, and management of milestone timelines;

• Provide project management and reporting services, and facilitate communication among end users, IT staff and vendors;

• Coordinate the development of database systems for new auditing services;

• Facilitate effective data integration among business systems and manage the integration process between programs and organizational systems;

• Develop guidelines, protocols and documentation as needed to ensure systems implementation and adoption;

• Manage the development and delivery of user training; and

• Coordinate data policy development and harmonization for the RA-Cert Division, in collaboration with other Rainforest Alliance programs and divisions (Evaluation & Research, Sustainable Agriculture in particular) and in line with organizational standards.

Systems Management

• Maintain existing IT platforms used within the RA-Cert Division, including periodic updates;

• Design sophisticated data mining reports and corresponding presentation tools, including dashboards;

• Provide technical support to staff on reporting indicators across the organization;

• Serve as point person and liaison between outsourced vendors and RA-Cert Division staff when contractors are used for systems management;

• Serve on steering committees that coordinate design and implementation of system solutions for all Rainforest Alliance Divisions;

• Lead steering committees for RA-Cert Division IT platforms;

• Support Rainforest Alliance Divisions regarding data analysis and transfer;

• Provide guidance and support to staff serving in administrator roles for specific systems used by the organization; and

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer engineering or related field) required;

• 5-7 years of professional and relevant work experience;

• 3-5 years demonstrated experience with Salesforce data management platform required;

• 3-5 years Business Analysis experience;

• Project Management Professional certification a plus;

• Working knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in managing software development life cycle;

• Exceptional communication, motivation, presentation & training skills;

• Demonstrated project management experience;

• Proactive work attitude and ability to take initiative; the ideal candidate will be self-directed and highly motivated;

• Experience with outsourced vendor management;

• Experience with cloud based solutions;

• Strong verbal and written communication skills;

• Strong planning, analytical, and project management skills, with ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines;

• Collaborative and energetic work style, superior people skills and ability to motivate;

• Written and verbal Spanish language skills preferred; and

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% internationally and domestically.
