Sunible's PV Solar Report publishes a daily executive brief, various data & reports, and relevant news content on PVSolarReport.com. PV Solar Report is on a mission to deliver relevant, timely, and succinct information to busy solar professionals.

We began focusing on just California, and now we are covering the entire country. We are looking for an ambitious, motivated, and talented writer who can help us build the best solar coverage on the planet. We believe clean, renewable solar energy is not only the energy of the future -- it's the energy of NOW. We need people who are passionate about helping solar go mainstream.

Role:

You will write about daily news of interest to solar professionals and will publish a few stories on our news blog, http://pvsolarreport.com/blog, each weekday morning. These are not expected to be in-depth stories but are quick snapshots of the day's news items.

Your coverage will be distributed to local media outlets, as well as on our network of solar coverage. You will research, analyze, and publish news and content that helps move our industry forward. This is an ideal role for a student who wants to get into clean energy, media, or journalism.

Responsibilities:

- Research, write, and edit engaging news & other content for publication.

- Keep up-to-date on solar news, and curate news summaries for the solar industry.

- Develop and maintain relationships with members of solar communities (installers, policy makers and advocates, media, etc).

- Conduct press, social media, and PR outreach.

Required Skills

- Excellent writing and time-management skills are essential

- Familiarity with solar and solar issues preferred, but passion about renewable energy is a must

- Self-starter, detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in web content management systems and social media platforms

- An unshakable positive attitude and ability to work within tight publication deadlines

Hours, Commitment, & Compensation:

We're looking for someone on the East Coast to work on weekday mornings and have a few short news stories written by noon Eastern Time for publication on PV Solar Report (http://pvsolarreport.com/blog). Hours are flexible within these parameters, and the number of stories per day averages 4 – 5.

This part-time fellowship is unpaid. We require a minimum three-month commitment, which could lead to a longer-term position with a stipend. You will have the support of our Communications Director and participate in a weekly web meeting.

What You Will Get out of This:

- Experience in solar and renewable energy

- Access to people and companies in the industry

- Press pass to solar events

- Your work published for thousands to see on a regular basis

- An opportunity to build a great portfolio and name among other media outlets

- Exposure to thousands of solar professionals

- A glowing recommendation letter, if you crush it

- A possible opportunity to work full-time in the future
