JOB TITLE: Senior Analyst, Advertising Operations

LOCATION: New York City

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Analyst is responsible for purchasing media space or time, as well as developing the campaign and researching how it will be most effective for the client. Their mission is to find a combination of media that will enable the marketer to communicate the message in the most effective manner possible at the minimum cost. This requires a deep understanding of the media and advertising market as well as the ability to clearly communicate the value propositions of various media elements. A Senior Analyst must possess negotiating skills, work well under pressure, and have strong analytical skills.

The role will be an integral resource and collaborator with Recyclebank's Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and Account Management Teams and should be comfortable working closely with both internal constituents and external partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Negotiate and purchase digital media for client (may be internal or external) fulfillment, in addition to researching how and where it will yield the highest return on investment (ROI) for the client.

• Find the most cost effective combination of sites & targets that will enable the client to communicate their message to the target audience.

• Work with the media team to determine where to place ads based on the client's objectives and budgets.

• Analyze statistic models to determine the best media plan for the client, based on maximum media effectiveness for the client.

• Identify the target audience for a particular media campaign and decide how best to communicate to that audience.

• Negotiate and build relationships with media sales people to obtain the best rates & placements.

• Monitor the effectiveness of the campaign.

• Optimize and adjust programs for maximum return on investment.

• Adjust media schedules real-time in response to audience figures or success metrics.

• Prepare costs for clients and producing spending updates throughout the campaign.

• Work on a range of client accounts at the same time, often juggling various projects and deadlines.

• Create summary reports and translate data into actionable insight .

• Take feedback from the market and translate it to clear opportunities for the product team.

• Manage the back-end operations, integration specs and technical handoff for Recyclebank earn opportunities and ad units

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Understanding of the media landscape, including media value metrics and pricing models.

• Ability to think strategically.

• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.

• In-depth familiarity with CPC, CPA, Affiliate, and CPM models.

• Superior time management skills and capacity to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

• Ability to multi-task, be detail oriented and to articulate clearly.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and charting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree required

• At least 4-5 years of experience working in digital media

• Commitment to results; ability to incorporate new learning into existing plans and act decisively

• Media buying/planning experience in an advertising agency environment (strongly desired)
