Job Summary:

Clean Energy Coalition, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Washtenaw County, Michigan, seeks a Project Manager to develop and implement the newly created Ann Arbor bike share program. The Bike Share Project Manager will work closely with a Clean Energy Coalition Program Supervisor, relevant Clean Energy Coalition staff, vendors and the program's Advisory Committee, which includes representatives from the City of Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, and The Ride.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree required in business administration, public administration, city and regional planning, economics, social work, engineering, or any related fields or equivalent work experience.

• Experience with program management and/or familiarity with bike share programs preferred.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including an aptitude for public speaking.

• Highly flexible regarding work days and hours.

• Proactive, never-fail attitude in the face of adversity and ambiguous situations.

• Extremely detail-oriented.

• Experience overseeing staff preferred.

• Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills.

• Self-starter, enthusiastic, innovative, and capable of meeting challenges and pressing deadlines.

• Team player with trouble-shooting and multi-tasking skills.

• Proven commitment to energy and environmental issues.

• Strong computer skills including proficiency in using basic Microsoft and/or similar software products such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email, web, database applications, and capacity to work in Mac OS environment.

• Basic mechanical aptitude.

• Clean driving record.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Program management for this position involves various combinations of the following:

• Achieve program profitability targets, including monthly and annual revenue goals.

• Develop and implement appropriate sales and marketing strategies.

• Regularly plan and execute special events, often on weekends and evenings.

• Creatively leverage additional community resources, ambassadors and volunteers.

• Ensure exceptional customer service and efficient operation of the bike share system.

• Contribute to written communication materials such as newsletter, web site, fact sheets, news releases, presentations, grant proposals, and reports.

• Oversee the work of bicycle technicians

• Foster and grow a sustainable public/private sponsorship program.

• Maintain effective ongoing relationships with Advisory Committee members and funders.

• Complete and present quarterly financial and operating reports for Advisory Committee and funders.

• Develop an annual plan with the Advisory Committee to improve and expand program.

• Create agendas for and facilitate Advisory Committee Meetings.

• Conduct ongoing evaluation of Bike Share program for program improvement and reporting purposes.

• Act as a spokesperson for Clean Energy Coalition and the Bike Share program; attend community forums, meetings, and events, and make individual and public presentations on CEC's mission, services, and the Bike Share Program when necessary.

• Work a number of weekend and evening/early morning hours to cover Bike Share program operational needs and special events.

• Perform other duties as assigned and collaborate with other staff on work as needed.
