Program Consultant

Bevilacqua-Knight, Inc. seeks a Program Consultant to support implementation of residential energy efficiency retrofit programs in Southern California. In this role, you will provide an advanced level of support to the Program Manager of our comprehensive building retrofit programs. You will assist in implementing community scale energy efficiency programs and persuading stakeholders on the benefits of energy efficient buildings including environmental soundness, comfort, and economy to operate.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Program Consultant will perform the following and other duties as assigned:

* Implement quality assurance procedures, protocols, and controls in energy efficiency programs.

* Quality control and quality assurance pipeline management.

* Establish and maintain measurement and verification procedures, protocols, and controls.

* Ensure that the performance and quality of building energy efficiency upgrades conform to established local, state, and regulatory standards.

* Work with contractors to ensure compliance with quality control objectives.

* Provide support in budgets, schedules, and reporting in all aspects related to effective implementation of regional building retrofit programs.

* Coordinate with participating local governments, regulatory agencies, utilities, and other stakeholders.

* Support the Program Manager in the development of effective coordination structures to successfully implement all program elements and continually augment program recruitment rates.

* Support the development of consumer feedback mechanisms and leverage the resulting data to maximize program management effectiveness and goal achievement.

* Actively work with stakeholders, partners, and the public to continually leverage communication channels and opportunities to exceed program goals.

* Support the development of proposals and grant applications.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

* 3+ years of project management experience in the energy or related environmental field, including project design, budget management, client relationships, quality assurance.

* Superb communication skills, a personable and diplomatic demeanor in working with diverse constituencies and inspiring participation from partners and community members.

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

* Knowledge of residential home performance technologies strongly preferred.

* Enthusiasm for team work, and ability to work well with staff and volunteers to promote the program and energy efficiency values as a participatory activity.

* Self-motivation and ability to multitask.

* Entrepreneurial, creative, and outstanding on follow-through.

* Analytical approach to work, constantly thinking in terms of iteration, testing, measurement, and redirection.

* Excellent organizational and strategic skills.

* Enjoys working with a variety of media tools and creative approaches to community engagement online, by phone, and in person.

* Dedication to cost-effective use of program budgets and resources.

* Proven success as a member of a highly effective project or program management team.

* Proven ability to communicate effectively in all sectors at all organizational levels in a professional, ethical, and nonpartisan manner.

* Knowledge of energy efficient design, construction strategies, technologies and materials, and the ability to articulate the environmental, health, and economic benefits of green building.

* Excellent office skills: MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS PowerPoint®, MS Outlook®, and Windows® operating systems. Access®, Salesforce® (or other database) experience is preferred.

* Some local travel required at times - clean driving record required.
