We work with various non-profit groups and women's co-operatives in Asia importing handmade products which are eco-friendly, organic, recycled and made from natural materials. We are currently looking for a photography intern. This intern will get broad and hands-on experience assisting with photography-related tasks at our company, including product photo shoots and image cleanup. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative sense for lifestyle photography and great attention to detail.
• A working knowledge of digital photography, lighting, composition, and color quality.
• Proactive problem solving, both technically and creatively, with constant attention to process improvement
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well both with others and independent of others
• Experience working with photo-editing software a plus.
Responsibilities may include preparing samples for photo shoots, helping to arrange products for photographing, taking still life and in-use product images, reviewing and distilling best images, image cleanup and more. The internship may also involve updating our website & facebook page with new photographs, preparing images for e-mail marketing and more.
This position is unpaid, interns are expected to work 3 to 4 days (25 hours) per week, and typical commitments last 12 weeks. Flexibility around work hours and start/end dates may be possible for qualified applicants
