Save The Bay is seeking a smart, reliable, web-savvy collaborator for a part-time position managing our online communications platforms.

We're looking for a part time Online Communications Associate who can work 16 hours per week, so this could be a great match for a freelancer or consultant who wants to add some stability the mix.

On our team, you'll work with a couple dozen sharp, passionate colleagues; you'll be part of a high-functioning organization that genuinely has its act together; and you'll work in downtown Oakland right near BART with a killer view from your office. You'll also be part of a 4-person communications team that cranks out good work, and have a ton of opportunity to make a difference in the world at a super exciting time for the organization.

Responsibilities:

Web technology lead (60% - approx.. 10-12 hours/wk)

- Develop, test and troubleshoot online communications content and functionality across multiple platforms (core website and microsites, email marketing tools, online advertising, social media, etc.)

- Keep Save The Bay's web content up-to-date (our principal platforms are Drupal, FormAssembly, and Wordpress) and implement new features, graphic enhancements, navigation improvements, and technology migrations as necessary

- Manage web contractors and vendors (back-end developer, designers, domain and hosting services, etc) and tech services (e.g., Optimizely, Captcha, Akismet, etc)

- Continually move the organization toward appropriate technologies and best practices

Testing, reporting and analysis (30% - 4 hours/wk)

- Develop and implement testing frameworks to maximize effectiveness of online efforts.

- Create and maintain an online-communications dashboard analyzing key metrics in web traffic, email performance, email-list health, and social media insights; Provide actionable recommendations on strengths, weaknesses, and new opportunities

Online promotion (10% - 0-2 hours/wk)

- Manage online advertising accounts, including Google AdWords, Facebook advertising

- Manage web and social-media promotion apps or platforms

Qualifications:

- Three years of experience online communications in a fast-paced, creative environment

- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Drupal, WordPress, FormAssembly, Photoshop

- Proficiency with analytics and testing (Google Analytics, Optimizely, etc)

- Fluency with email-marketing platforms (iContact, etc), email deliverability issues, and the unique requirements of coding HTML for email templates

- Strong familiarity with Salesforce or other enterprise CRM

- Superior skills in troubleshooting technical issues

- Natural comfort with emerging online technologies

- Experience working web developers and designers

- Exceptional command of current web technologies, tools, and best practices, including but not limited to web site management, email marketing, social media, and analytics

- Ability to complete projects on tight deadlines and rapidly respond to new developments

- Exceptional reliability, productivity, and attention to detail

- Strong opinions balanced by a willingness to collaborate and compromise

- Clean background check

- Basic graphic-design skills and proficiency are a strong plus

- Valid California driver's license and clean motor vehicle report
