The User Interface (UI) Designer is responsible for defining the user experience (eg UI Design, User Research an Usability Testing) at the project-level. The designer will be a part of the team responsible for creating user interfaces for new customer facing platforms and content management systems. Will analyze workflows, translate requirements into visual concepts, build wireframes and mockups, create and maintain design specifications and documentation. Must pay close attention to detail and deliver quality work to meet requirements and schedules. Follow group standards and industry best practices. Must work well in a team environment, possess excellent communication skills and be able to clearly communicate design concepts.
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with developers, product management and systems analysts to define the user experience (ie UI Design, User Research and Usability Testing).
Create UI designs consisting of conceptual models, process flows, wireframes, interaction flow diagrams, and content and workflow maps and ensure that all designs comply to establish UI design guidelines.
Conduct user research and translate data and research findings into related artifacts.
Facilitate UT activities and analysis on assigned projects.
Provides peer review for artifacts created by other team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in Human Factors, HCI, Graphic Design, User Research or related degree desired.
2 - 5 years of experience working on the user experience or interface design aspects of software applications.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work on multiple project assignments concurrently and interact effectively (internally and externally).
 Education:
 Four year degree in Computer Science, Web Design or related field or equivalent experience
