Resource 1 is in need of a Windows System/Server Administrator for a project in Memphis, TN.
The project will involve Windows Server builds/deployment and on-going support. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the support of hardware and software systems and configuring new system applications. Candidate must have 3+ years of experience working on a Windows 2008/2010 operating system. The selected individual will be responsible for providing system administration of hardware and operating systems, as well as, configuring, optimizing, and fine-tuning operating systems' software and Servers. Other responsibilities will include monitoring and reporting on back-up jobs and taking corrective action when needed, preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of Servers, applying server/software patches, fixes, and upgrades, maintaining virus protection software, and executing change control procedures. Experience managing/maintaining automation and asset management tools, such as Symantec Altiris, are required. Knowledge or experience with Commvault, Citrix, Linux, or ESX VMware is a big plus.
