Gartner Inc. Senior Systems Engineer. Research, design, develop, & test operating systems-level SW for leading IT research & advisory serv. provider. Specific resp: Analyze & resolve probs w/server HW & Unix operating syst for Sun, HP, Linux, IBM & MS Windows serv. Provide primary tech support for security & identity mgmnt systs incl Oracle Virtual Directory, Oracle CoreID, Oracle Identity Mgmnt & SUN One Directory product. Build & manage websites on SUN Netscape, Apache & MS IIS. Plan for syst capacity, tuning, maintenance & monitoring of production servers. Install, configure, manage & provide primary admin of bus-critical apps on BEA Weblogic & IBM WebSphere app servers. Provide primary tech support for Financial & Data Warehouse solution using Oracle Hyperion, IBM's Datastage & Bus Objects Firstlogic products. Provide backup & disaster recovery solution using IBM's Tivoli Storage Manager. Provide tech design input, infrastructure & op recommendations for various IT initiatives. Provide primary tech support for Gartner's Client Connect systems that run on Oracle Siebel suit of products. Provide arch & eng expertise for various Siebel components such as Call Center, Sales, Field Services & other Integration components. Provide tech support for co.'s Business Intelligence systems that runs on Oracle Bus Intel & Informatica suit of products. Ability to provide 24x7 coverage on rotating on-call schedule. Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. Trumbull, CT. Requires MS in Comp. Sci., Telecom, CIS., Engg or a rel. quantitative field + 2 yrs. exp. as Systems Analyst, Systems Administrator, Support Analyst or rel. prof exp, in primary admin of bus-critical apps & web servers, & maintenance & tuning of production servers. Exp. must incl: work w/Middleware app techs. Architect, install & configure apps on Oracle Weblogic and/or IBM WebSphere app servers. Ability to install & configure apps on MS IIS server & .NET Framework. Providing tech support for Oracle Hyperion & Oracle Bus Intel suit of products. Analyzing & resolving probs w/server HW & Unix op system for Sun, HP, Linux, IBM & MS Windows server. Dem'd knowledge of PL/SQL & Java JDBC connection pools. Providing backup & disaster recovery solutions using IBM's Tivoli Storage Mgr. Building & managing websites on SUN iPlanet, Apache & MS IIS. Dem'd prof in Scripting techs such as Perl & Shell.
