About the Senior SAS Programming Analyst:
Equifax is currently seeking a seasoned SAS Specialist to join our Global Fulfillment Programming Team as the Senior SAS Programming Analyst. The Senior SAS Programming Analyst will be responsible for designing, estimating, and building custom SAS solutions in effort to drive solution delivery to customers. The Senior SAS Programming Analyst will be expected to provide technical expertise and develop custom analytics solutions.
The Senior SAS Programming Analyst will work very closely with customers to understand their business needs and requirements in effort to develop custom analytics and corresponding solutions. The Senior SAS Programming Analyst will also be working with other technologies like C, C++, Perl, Unix Script, SQL, PHP, Java and Assembler programming.
Senior SAS Programming Analyst Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, estimate, and build SAS solutions and manage multiple large SAS data sets
Meet with customers to gather and understand requirements and build analytic data set specifications
Ability to solve problems in a highly energetic and in a Rapid Development Environment
Utilization of CMS Tools and other software configuration management tools
Define populations and variables, perform analysis, present analysis findings
Perform administration and maintenance of analytical environment
Execute data validation checks and listings to identify data discrepancies
Automate manual processes, debug software, and adhere to CMS Quality Process
Requirements for the Senior SAS Programming Analyst:
Three or more (3+) years of SAS-related software development experience with SAS tools including Base SAS, SAS Macro Language, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/STAT, SAS/ETS
Two or more (2+) years of SQL programming experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
Strong knowledge in Middle-Ware, Mainframe, and J2EE architecture
Knowledge of credit reporting industry and experience with batch processing applications
Previous file manipulation experience with multiple file types such as Binary, Fixed Block, Delimited, or XML
Strong Unix/Linux experience
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior SAS Programming Analyst:
Preferred SAS Certification
Preferred experience in Big Data analytics (Green plum).
Preferred Knowledge in File Transfer Methodologies.
Preferred Knowledge in Assembler
