We are seeking a talented developer to join a small team to work on a high profile bespoke project for a London based client in the media industry. The position will be located in Bristol and would ideally suit a person who loves to code and has the desire to continually expand their skills.
You will have an excellent grasp of C#/MVC, HTML5, CSS & precompilers, grid frameworks and will be able to demonstrate proven experience delivering complex web applications built on these platforms.
You will have experience and good understanding of Agile, demonstrable skills delivering client specifications to meet changing business needs and you must be familiar with the Visual Studio development environment and git source control.
It is a critical part of your role that you are able to share information, work as an integral member of a small team and keep up to date detailed notes on work completed. You will possess excellent communication skills and have a command of project management disciplines. Flexibility is essential as is the ability to work well under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Your main role will be working as a Front End developer in the rebuild of an existing C# MVC application.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
To ensure that all work carried out is well-documented, and that the documentation is accessible to relevant parties
Work with the Lead Developer to ensure that your workload/tasks and deadlines are clearly understood
To evaluate and communicate progress re timescales and technical limitations regularly to the Lead Developer
To ensure that all work carried out complies with expected standards
To test and validate work produced as part of the development process
Keep accurate and up to date time sheets
Ensure that all assigned tasks are either completed or re-scheduled at the end of each day
Respond in a timely fashion to any tickets or communications sent to you
To be proactive in prototyping and presenting concepts
Ability to discuss technical solutions within the team and with the client
Participate in client meetings, conference calls or Skype
Attention to detail and willingness to take responsibility for all work and code produced
An ability to apply systematic thinking to the resolution of programming problems in a highly creative environment
A demonstrable willingness to learn and develop skills, to be cross- trained across relevant technologies
Experience and Skills Required
Broad knowledge and proven experience in a team development environment
