Position: Lead Security Mobile Forensics Engineer

Salary: 120-140K (flex) + bonus

Description

Esteemed financial firm in Chicago Illinois is seeking a digital Lead Security Mobile (forensics) Engineer to join our Global Information Security Application Security team. This person should have expert knowledge in Digital Forensics using commercial forensics suits (EnCAse, Enterprise, FTK, X-Ways Forensics). This person should also know open source forensics tools writing, action reports, and conducting digital investigations. Host based forensics and memory analysis is also needed.

Desired Skills:

At least 5 years of professional experience in Digital Forensics.

Proficient in the use of commercial forensics suites (EnCase Enterprise, FTK, X-Ways Forensics) and/or open source forensics tools.

Experience developing forensically sound processes and procedures for data collection and analysis.

In-depth knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.

Excellent written and verbal communications.

Experience writing after action reports and presenting findings to management.

Experience conducting digital investigations related to data breaches, malware infections, and legal/HR investigations.

Responsibilities:

Provide Tier-III support for security investigations as a subject matter expert in host based forensics and memory analysis.

Create process/procedures for collection, examination, and distribution.

Validate process/procedures for collection, examination, and distribution.

Identify areas GIS is unable to collect/examine and investigate solutions for correction.

Research and recommendations on product purchases.

Investigation of requests from HR, Legal, or Physical Security.

Maintain hardware and software in compliance with company policies and best practices.

Perform an advisory role for other groups in the organization.

Research into new technologies and methodologies for performing examinations and collections.

Manage vendor relationships, mentor internal team members.

This person will also get involved in special POCs and projects and coordinate with other departments and external vendors to further Global Information Security goals.

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree.

Possess industry recognized certifications in Digital Forensics (such as SANS GCFE, GCFA, GMOB, etc.).

Pay: $120,000 to $140,000 USD

Pay Period: Annual
