SUMMARY

Responsible for planning, communicating, controlling and managing changes to systems, infrastructure and communications technologies in the production environment in a controlled manner. Will be relocating data center and needs someone that can put controls around that. ITIL Certification strong +. Someone from a large financial organization ideal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Develops, executes and enforces an organizational infrastructure change management policy and strategy.

Directs planning, objective setting, estimating and budgeting for the Infrastructure Change Management processes and tools. Measures and reports progress against plan. Recommends and directs corrective action where necessary.

Convenes and chairs all Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to discuss, evaluate, approve and allocate a priority to all proposed change requests.

Directs, coordinates, controls and approves the implementation of changes to production systems, infrastructure and communication technology to minimize disruption and reduce risk.

Communicates changes and schedules to all appropriate stakeholders prior to implementation of changes. Communicates implementation status following each change to management and stakeholders.

Performs and reports impact analysis and risk assessments on all change requests.

Reports implementation successes and failures for all systems to stake holders and management.

Understands all product components, component dependencies, product dependencies, automated tests and release processes.

Assists in the documenting and testing of the disaster recovery plan for a sub-section of critical systems.

Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION

Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field.

EXPERIENCE

Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in an Infrastructure and Communications Change Management role.

Must have broad experience in the planning, design and delivery of Change, Configuration and Release Management services in a large, highly diversified infrastructure environment.

SKILLS

Demonstrated understanding of ITIL with a proven knowledge of Change, Configuration and Release Management processes and their correlation with other ITIL processes.

Proven Leadership and Team building skills with an ability to gain cooperation from a diverse group of people.

A sound understanding of delivery management in relation to infrastructure and communication technologies

Strong attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality deliverables.

Must have strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
