Prestigious Fortune 500 Company is currently seekind a Global Network Manager/Lead Engineer that is very hands-on. This role is leading a team of out-sourced Cisco Network engineers, with no formal direct reports. Candidate will be responsible for collaborating with various business areas within company to understand our IT Business Partner needs, and apply Networking expertise to recommend and manage the implementation of network solutions. In addition, our selected candidate will also be responsible for end-end service delivery, driving process improvements and operational excellence throughout our global network services.
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end delivery of network solutions, integrating standards, and external best practices.
Build strong partnerships with our Global IT Business partners and key Network Service Providers.
Maintain an in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of network standards, guidelines, industry trends, etc., including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Center networking and interconnection.
Evaluate and select from existing and emerging technologies the options best fitting business and IT strategic needs.
Provide expertise and guidance in the development of metrics and SLA's to measure and report on operational excellence of network services.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or other technical degree. Business degree with appropriate technical experience is acceptable.
Extensive experience working in multi-national/global organizations.
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
A minimum of 10 years relevant experience with at least 6 years in the planning, design, and implementation of network solutions.
Advanced skill level in Data Center networking, VPNs, Routing Protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, as well as high availability campus and WAN design methodologies.
Working knowledge of key technologies including Domain Name Service, Voice Over IP, and HD video from a network perspective as well as network management tools.
Solid background in the ITIL operating model and IT Service Management
Experience developing infrastructure solutions in a heavily franchised, retail environment is a plus
Process focused with the ability to think through solutions from concept, to engineering, to implementation to support.
Ability to be a solid and unselfish team member while also being capable of independent thought and willingness to insert his/her own opinions or ideas.
Strong ability to work on strategic directions without direct or constant supervision.
Be a creative solution provider with the ability to translate customer/business needs into technology solutions.
Strong oral, and written communication skills

Pay: $105,000 to $118,000 USD
Pay Period: Annual
