Our client in Cherry Hill, NJ is looking for data governance architects to build out their new data quality Center of Excellence. These architects will provide technical & strategic guidance in matters relating to oversight and implementation of Data Governance framework and best practices. They will interact directly with the business unit data stewards to integrate data governance practices into the SDLC for activities such as data security and access, data integration & data mapping, data quality and monitoring. They will maintain and manage business and technical metadata including data definitions and data lineage of OLTP, Data Warehouse systems in the Enterprise Data Dictionary, as well and compile and provide periodic data governance metrics to the IT Governance committee. In different projects they will oversee data structure design and data models to ensure that they adhere to company and departmental standards.
Job Requirements
5+ years' working in a data governance team/organization focused on compliance and oversight
2+ years in project leadership/management
Experience with Regulated/Compliance industries; Financial Services preferred
Excellent skills in business and information modelling and development methodologies.
Understands data & database technologies; structured and unstructured data sources.
Proven track record in customer satisfaction.
Requires knowledge with aspects of Databases; Data Warehousing; metadata concepts, master data technology and implementations; relational models, etc.; and business intelligence/OLAP concepts.
Has good understanding of business processes.
Informatica or other ETL experience a plus.
Good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
