Aquila Heywood/Redhill, Surrey, United Kingdom
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Aquila Heywood is a well-established successful pension administration software provider. We're looking for a new Citrix & Security Engineer to join our Technology division. This role is critical in providing secure, performant virtualised desktop environments for both our Development teams and our customers.
The Transformation of our business is about investing in our people, adopting Scrum, XP, Kanban and DevOps capabilities such as automated provisioning, configuration and deployments on a virtualised landscape with Citrix VDIs. This role is critical in realising our ambitions of both our Hosted Customers and Product Development environments to enable our Agile ambitions.
This is a Technical role where you will be expected to have excellent technical knowledge and experience in the areas of designing, implementing and supporting desktop virtualisation solutions. You will be able to demonstrate considerable experience in architecting and implementing corporate infrastructure solutions that provide excellent user experience on Citrix technology.
You take people on the journey with you - lead by example with an engaging style and energy that people trust and believe in. You are able to instil confidence through your extensive technical knowledge and experience.
You're a Technical Leader - you understand all the facets of Citrix, Security, VPNs, and Remote Access and are familiar with security, resilience, ISO(s) 27001, virtualisation, analytics and monitoring, and business continuity.
Governance without Shackles - you understand ISO and regulatory needs across networks, data and security and find and create processes, tools and models that meet these needs without impairing service and minimising bureaucracy
You are commercially savvy - you understand the needs of the business and when sourcing or designing solutions you can perceive the difference between 'sub-standard', fit-for-purpose, and Rolls-Royce solutions, articulate the pro's and con's and provide recommendations clearly.
You're a bit of a geek - at home you've got some kit that you experiment on, you're generally playing with the latest stuff, finding out where it fits in the world and how it might make life at work easier.
