Permanent position, £90,000 - £109,000pa + car allowance & benefits

The role

Responsible to the Security and Defence Technical Lead and the Programme Manager for the full scope of technical delivery for Cyber Security and Analytics. This includes new architecture design, development & integration of new architectural features into existing infrastructures while maintaining integrity & security of enterprise-wide cyber systems & networks.

Responsibilities:

*Addresses system-of-system architectural needs by drilling through all layers of Embedded security within given WAN/LAN architecture

* Leads multi-disciplined teams in design & implementation of Cyber Security (CS) system architecture

* Responsible for production of architectural artefacts

* Compiles industry best practices & lessons learned into future iterations & new designs

* Supports Engineering Review Board by evaluating artefacts for architectural compliance

* Provides broad based knowledge in systems engineering life cycle & apply knowledge to specific CS initiatives relating to architectural design & development

* Resolves architecture implementation issues during integration & test

* Mentors the next generation of Cyber Intelligence Architects

* May interface with external entities including law enforcement organisations, intelligence community organisations & other government agencies

Skills/background required:

Able to execute and perform without assistance, and possessing significant practical and applied knowledge across the following areas:

* Cyber Security Architecture & Analytics

* Complex systems integration projects, involving IT systems;

* Systems Architecture development capability is expected, including Object Oriented Analysis and design such as Unified Modelling Language;

* Ability to support systems engineering tasks - requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation, systems integration and testing and trade studies is expected;

* Intellectual calibre and confidence to conduct complex discussions with civilian and service customers and suppliers;

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and work well in a team environment;

* Capable of developing and communicating a vision for assigned elements of the System;

* Able to identify unusual aspects or opportunities relating to the System, and develop and implement plans tailored to suit those aspects and opportunities;

* Able to apply standards, directives, guidance & policies to an architectural framework;

* Knowledge of Embedded advanced forensic tools & techniques for attack reconstruction, including dead system analysis & volatile data collection & analysis into design
